I made a post addressing a legitimate concern over a small minority of anime fans who engage in artwork of n4ked children in suggestive positions lying in bed.
Stop dismissing what this is about.
Stop defending your porn-brained predatory ideals.
This is not some made-up moral panic.
Sexualizing ANY child, fictional or real, is disgusting. You SHOULD be shamed for it.
Legality does not equal social acceptability.
We can absolutely call it gross, off-putting, weird and concerning.
This is exactly why outsiders look at parts of the anime community and see a problem. When someone posts a room full of sexualized child (or child-like) characters and the response is “you’re bullying a married woman,” that tells people that the community would rather attack critics than address the content.
I have been watching anime since 2015. I was called the names in elementary and high school. This IS NOT about owning merch, it’s about the subset that features naked or highly suggestive depictions of children in sexual contexts. Saying “it’s just fiction/drawings” is the same lazy defense used for every extreme taboo content. The fact that’s it’s fictional doesn’t erase the intent: eroticizing children.
I don’t care if you were bullied. Most anime fans think you are disgusting. Communities have every right to say “this specific thing is not welcome here.” You people drag the rest of the community down. Legitimate fans shouldn’t have to keep explaining why you don’t represent us.

In his Summa Theologiae, St Thomas Aquinas laid out one of the most charitable yet practical arguments concerning immigration that effectively shaped the West for almost 1,000 years.
1. Immigration must always be proportionate so that foreigners can properly assimilate into the culture and mode of worship of the state.
2. Citizenship – and associated rights – should only ever be granted after the third generation to preserve the culture, mode of worship, and constitution of the state.
3. The common good of the citizens must remain the highest priority of the state, meaning, the state's obligation to provide aid to its neighbours can never be at the expense of the citizens.
However, Aquinas ends with the sobering reminder that some peoples and states are incompatible with one another, and these must be held as "foes in perpetuity".

I cannot remain silent on this. The Pope’s decision to do this now, right as Europe is witnessing yet another wave of murders of its citizens by migrants (think of Louis, Christian, Henry, and the countless others) cannot be dismissed as a mere public relations blunder. It is a painful slap in the face of the Christian native peoples of Europe and all those who lost their children and loved ones as a result of mass migration. Where is the Church’s charity and compassion toward them? Why do we not hear a word from the Pope about the 250,000 white British girls who were raped? Why do we not hear a word about the attacks on Europe’s Churches and Christian communities? Why do we not hear a word about the millions of Europeans who are unsafe and estranged, fast becoming a minority in their own homelands? The Church’s silence regarding the threats European Christians face is already deafening. Combining it with telling Europeans that they must do more to “integrate and protect migrants”, is adding insult to injury. As a new Catholic, I have generally tried to refrain from critiquing the Pope, for we do not lightly challenge the father. This, however, is not a matter of dogma or infallible teaching. The Pope has chosen to make a political and pastoral statement on migration, and on such prudential questions the faithful may legitimately form and express their own judgment. And my opinion on this is clear: Europe does not have a moral obligation to house the entire world, especially not when it comes at the cost of civilizational destruction.
