Maybe it was just a particular good week for me so far, but the results I've been getting using search.brave.com have been amazing. 🤷‍♂️ Was there some update? @gnukeith

@MagisFuturum I understand your frustration. We know we need to work on a term disambiguation, so you would have the option to choose the concept you want to have results

But now I'm just really annoyed @ParedesLJavi that if you Brave search "gemini" it assumes you mean the AI not the constellation or space program. Doesn't even show anything about either on like the first page. Seems overloaded terms it should handle better.

@alabhyajindal Thanks for the suggestion! We’ve added this to our backlog for consideration. It’s a fairly specialized request, but we appreciate you taking the time to share it!

Hi @ParedesLJavi - could we please get a feature in Brave Search to navigate the search results using Vim keybinds? I had previously requested this to Brendan

@BrendanEich @ParedesLJavi My IP is fixed, not rotating and part of a block assigned to the largest ISP in my country. Hopefully @ParedesLJavi knows how I can make it unsuspicious.

Hey @BrendanEich why is it that when I use the default search in your browser I have to complete a captcha 2-3x a day. I'm not automating anything, just using it normally. Pretty annoying.

Giving people a choice is what matters in the end. Like it or not, AI is here to stay, so giving people the option to turn it on or off is great. Privacy-focused search engines like Brave Search, Kagi, Mojeek, and others all offer this feature. I always like being given an option because I admit it I use AI. I’m the problem! And the worst part? It saves me time and I enjoy it even more!!! I like being spoon-fed answers!!!!!!
DuckDuckGo@DuckDuckGo

175,354 votes. We asked a simple question: Yes AI or No AI? Turns out a lot of people wanted to weigh in. With DuckDuckGo, if you don’t want AI, you can turn it off in our private search engine and browser. If you do, you can chat privately with popular chatbots using Duck AI.

@GlobalCryptoIn @BrendanEich Thanks for sharing your feedback! 1)Can't reproduce. Is it the latest Brave Browser? Looks a bit diff. to mine 2)Intended, instead we show likely follow-up questions. But point taken 3)That's for formatting. Notes shows ** instead of bold, but Whatsapp does get it.

Great work. Really enjoying it 💪 Few things I noticed: 1) issue w. Brave shortcuts when highlighting a portion of the output if the text selected is not at the bottom of the answer. (See photos) 2) no autocorrect/predictive text recommendation in the follow-up question box (iOS) 3) when copy/pasting from an output, all is good if done through the text, but get the ** around specific words when clicking the copy button at the bottom to retrieve whole output

@MagisFuturum Sorry the results were not up to your expectations. I can really see an issue there. For clarification, schools.utah.gov/schoolcalendar… would be the result you would to see on first position? If not, feel free to dm me the ones you would like to see.

@ParedesLJavi with my location set to Holladay (a city in Utah though not mine) Brave Search for "district calendar" gives me results for Palm Beach, Western Placer, Henrico County, VA (which has a school named after a Holladay), Holladay ISD (TX) eventually down the results some Utah ones including the City of Holladay but nowhere at least on the first page the school district Holladay is in.

@ratkobatinic The feature "Answers with AI" in Settings applies to the AI generated answers on the Search/All vertical.

@ParedesLJavi even with AI content block filter enabled, image search results are just flooded with AI stuff sometimes

This is one of the reasons i just can't commit to @brave search. If i searched for a jaguar car, why are these pictures of emblem priority results instead of the pictures of the actual cars? This happens more often than not. @BrendanEich

🚨 Nearly all of the meat in America (99% of chickens, 98% of pigs, and 70% of cows) comes out of large-scale factory farms that are heavily dependent on antibiotics, pesticides, and pharmaceuticals. Fewer than 2% of farms reject chemical inputs and are actually rebuilding soil and ecosystems—rather than depleting them. In response, @Polyface_Farms' regenerative farmer Joel Salatin argues that what America desperately needs is a Food Emancipation Proclamation. His proposal is simple: remove the regulatory barriers that prevent small, chemical-free farms from innovating and selling directly to their neighbors. Healthy, chemical-free local food prices would drop 30–40%, he says. Ordinary families—not just the wealthy—would be able to afford real, healthy food. Thousands of young farmers would finally be able to make a living on small acreage. And millions of consumers would have the freedom to walk away from the industrial system.

@BrendanEich @nathans_codes_2 @ParedesLJavi oh can you also add more interactive stuff like an equivalent of duckduckgo's color preview and color wheel when I search a hex or rgb code?

@ParedesLJavi Brave mixed up a couple different people here it seems. Though I'm sure @ALScyborg would not take the confusion too personally.
