@DoNotEverComply @mitchellvii Yeah when the interceptors miss they turn to the ciws. That is the weapon that is literally the last line of defense.

Okay to summarize. Lame ass Iran tried to attack three of our destroyers in the Strait of Hormuz today. We kicked their ass (again) and our ships are fine. Oil prices barely rose because everybody realizes that Iran sucks and can't block the Strait.

@saylordocs That’s because they don’t want to pay out more to those people when they retire so they cap social security.

Murray: Is it true that people making under $184,000 pay a 12.4% Social Security tax rate? Dahl: Yes Murray: And the rate for someone making $1,000,000? Dahl: 2.2% Murray: So, a 12.4% tax for people making less than $184,000, but 2.2% for a millionaire or .0002% for billionaires.

@EndTribalism It’s the fact that the world consumes 105 mbpd of crude oil and is only get 91mbpd. Supply and demand sets the price. Demand must be destroyed. We will be short 1.5+ billion barrels shortly.

Congressman Tim Burchett says Big Oil controls both political parties and manipulates Americans at the pump. “We get zero oil from Iran. Zero.” “Yet the price is going through the roof.” “It’s going through the roof because it can.” “I just think it’s a racket.” “The oil companies, they’ll shake that money tree.” “They know how to do it on both sides of the aisle.” @timburchett

@mitchellvii And another day where the world is short 13 million barrels and the amount of inventories continues to drop. At some point the market will recognize the oh crap moment when economies shut down from lack of oil.

There used to be a time where if Iran attacked US shipping oil would spike $15 a barrel. Today it went up a dollar. That tells you that nobody takes Iran's threat to close the Strait of Hormuz seriously.

I don’t doubt that this was presented, but: If Iran still has 70% of its missile stockpile and launching capabilities, why did it basically stop launching missiles? It just decided to start rationing and holding its fire?
Kassy Akiva@KassyAkiva

An intelligence source confirmed to The Daily Wire that the CIA presented a report to Trump officials this week that found Iran still possesses roughly 70% of its prewar missile stockpile even after weeks of U.S. and Israeli strikes. dailywire.com/news/cia-asses…

🚨 SHIPS ARE NOW FLOODING TO AMERICA TO FILL UP ON OIL This is HUGE! 👏🏻 PRESIDENT TRUMP: "We have HUNDREDS of ships coming up to Texas, coming up to Louisiana and coming to Alaska, filling up and they're going back and making a lot of money!" 🇺🇸 "We are not suffering oil. Ships are coming all the way — where they used to go to Hormuz. They're coming all the way up!"

@EricLDaugh Hopefully that is true. They also told us there was little to no damage at the land bases. Gen Caine said it is best to never let the enemy know if he hit something and what damage they did.

🚨 JUST IN: President Trump just revealed ABSOLUTELTY ZERO DAMAGE was done to US forces by Iran during today's strikes... ..."but GREAT damage was done to the Iranian attackers" 🔥 "Just like we knocked them out again today, we’ll knock them out a lot harder, and a lot more violently, in the future, if they don’t get their Deal signed, FAST! Our three Destroyers, with their wonderful Crews, will now rejoin our Naval Blockade, which is truly a “Wall of Steel.” "Missiles were shot at our Destroyers, and were easily knocked down." "Three World Class American Destroyers just transited, very successfully, out of the Strait of Hormuz, under fire." "There was no damage done to the three Destroyers, but great damage done to the Iranian attackers. They were completely destroyed along with numerous small boats, which are being used to take the place of their fully decapitated Navy. These boats went to the bottom of the Sea, quickly and efficiently." "Likewise, drones came, and were incinerated while in the air. They dropped ever so beautifully down to the Ocean, very much like a butterfly dropping to its grave! A normal Country would have allowed these Destroyers to pass, but Iran is not a normal Country. They are led by LUNATICS, and if they had the chance to use a Nuclear Weapon, they would do it, without question."

@robin_j_brooks Who cares about the Rial? Only Iran. The rest of the world is struggling with the supply of dozens of products normally supplied through the Strait.

We'll never know exactly how impactful the US blockade was, but we do know that - by the 3rd week - Iran's Rial was down 20% from pre-blockade. That's exactly the kind of destabilizing effect the blockade aimed to achieve. Hopefully this brings peace... robinjbrooks.substack.com/p/pros-and-con…

@GeraldoRivera Not a great idea. The only thing that will encourage these oil companies to invest in more capacity is the ability to make higher profits when oil goes up. The oil companies don’t really set pricing. This is the supply and demand along with Wall Street investors.

🧵The Iranian regime’s “oil storage clock” is ticking down to zero — and the U.S. Navy just turned up the dial. Tankers are bottled up. No exports means no cash. With no revenue, even the mullahs can only last so long. But it's even worse than that. ⏰🇺🇸

@FreightAlley Paper contracts don’t reflect that inventories are dangerously low. Even if the Strait was open now we have damaged ports and production in the Middle East and most VLCC carriers are not in the right place. The pain from this will last for months regardless of Wall Street.

"Oil prices are at similar levels to 2007." Truth: We have a long way to go to hit $148/barrel peak oil from 07/08 and on an inflation adjusted basis it was well over $200/barrel. We are far away from that ($95/today). Oil was 3.9% of economy in 2007, today it is 2.6%. And the fun thing is that a good portion of the money spent on oil actually flows back into the US economy, rather than being shipped overseas, as shale wasn't a factor in 2007. Add to the fact that we are now exporting record amounts of oil at high prices and it is a stimulant to the American economy, not a drag.

@FoxNews How are they supposed to remove mines when the US Navy destroyed its ships capable of doing so? We are back to JCPOA and would have been better without this conflict.

NEW: U.S. Ambassador to the UN Mike Waltz lays out what the Trump administration and the international community are demanding from Iran: "Cease its attacks on commercial shipping, cease mining and remove its mines from an international waterway, cease tolling, charging illegal tolls in the Strait of Hormuz, and allow the UN to move forward with humanitarian aid, lifesaving aid, through that international corridor. It's really just that simple."

ONLY CONGRESS CAN DECLARE WAR. Congress has NOT declared war with Iran. There is NO WAR with Iran. President Trump has kept his "no new wars" campaign promise. He has also kept his promise that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon.
