Hello. If you see this account, expect to see Skyrim related posts, and the occasional BotW post, and maybe posts from other Switch games.

@MasterOfMike88 It’s because they flat out state physical isn’t going up. That part is important. Bear in mind, they’ve already gone as high as $80. But they can’t make that statement and then start releasing $90 physical games, it’d just be a lie.

This feels like a non-response more than anything. The pricing aligns exactly with NoE. I fail to see how we reach a "digital will be cheaper than before" conclusion.

Nintendo: "The cost of physical games is not going up. "This means that when Nintendo sells digital versions of Nintendo published games exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 to consumers in the U.S., those prices will have an MSRP that is lower than their physical counterparts." ign.com/articles/ninte…

@NintyPrime They raised the prices of games and are now bringing their digital games back down to $60 and you're praising them for it?

Nintendo is doing the thing (variable pricing) in a way people have said they wanted (cheaper digital games). $69.99 for Yoshi physically, $59.99 digitally. Reason? Rising cost of physical, basically. Do you like the change?

Beginning in May 2026, and starting with preorders for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, new Nintendo published digital titles exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 will have an MSRP that is different from physical versions. nintendo.com/us/whatsnew/ab…

@Firefightingma1 @BoundaryBreak Nintendo actually rereleasing it would help. That brought the prices down for Sunshine and TTYD. I'm starting to see FRLG copies on eBay that aren't $150+.

Being a gamer since the 90s and seeing how companies execute 10 year plans; here's how i speculate this will go: Step 1: Over Price games. Step 2: Make Digital games artificially cheaper. (We are here) Step 3: Get majority users to buy digital. Step 4: Abandon physical next generation since majority audience has been conditioned to purchase digitally. Expect cope comments like "Who needed physical anyway? Digital has been the cheaper option for awhile now" Step 5: Over Price Digital games. Step 6: Check Mate. You no longer have a free market to trade or buy or sell preowned games. And now the market value of video games is 100% in the hands on the corporations. Younger people wont even question it. It'll be a culture ingrained in their childhoods.

Nintendo announced that starting with Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, digital and physical games will have different prices: "Beginning in May 2026, and starting with preorders for Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, new Nintendo published digital titles exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2 will have an MSRP that is different from physical versions. Nintendo games offer the same experiences whether in packaged or digital format, and this change simply reflects the different costs associated with producing and distributing each format and offers players more choice in how they can buy and play Nintendo games. As always, retail partners set their own prices for physical and digital games, and pricing for each title may vary." Yoshi and the Mysterious Book is $69.99 physical & $59.99 digital. en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/de…

@Winslow1885 @burningtime329 @RinoTheBouncer "Low fidelity gaming" isn't pretentious at all. Consoles have always been a low cost way to get into gaming and fall behind PC hardware very quickly. "Low spec" isn't an insult, I play on Steam Deck which is very low spec.

@Winslow1885 @burningtime329 @RinoTheBouncer He's not wrong, though. That's pretty much the only thing you can do on a console, aside from maybe watching TV. That's not being pretentious. PC costs more because the hardware is better and because you can do so much more with it.

@burningtime329 @RinoTheBouncer Let me specificy further that it is the way you brought it up. "You know what you get to do on a console? Low fidelity/fps gaming… that’s it." That comes off as degrading. But yes, I agree with both your points that you just made.

@hecaomtbz54561 @HavenTheBlade To be fair, a lot of RPG players exclusively play Pokémon. It's the most basic bitch RPG franchise. Now, if we're talking about Mystery Dungeon...

~50hrs of drawing... 10+ years of practice...and this. Art isn’t just drawing — it’s years of dedication behind every piece.Would you tell a plumber, a programmer, or a lawyer they’re “too expensive” after they’ve mastered their craft and charge for their time and expertise?

@richter_sp29198 @Critical_Scribe A lot of people say Arin is just playing a character, but that's what his sequelitis came off as. OoT is pretty much just ALttP in 3D, but he has a problem with it because he couldn't figure out the targeting.

@richter_sp29198 @Critical_Scribe I was never expecting him to be a pro gamer. Vinesauce sucks at some of the games he plays but I still enjoy watching him because he doesn't immediately get angry and blame everything on the game.

Here’s a spicy take: If someone made a game almost exactly like Breath of the Wild but it wasn’t labeled as a Zelda game, it would have gotten 7-8/10s across the board due to a lack of story, weak dungeons, and weapon degradation. I wouldn’t have given it that, and I actually LOVE both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, but people let Zelda “get away” with a lot more than other games and it gets to be a bit much to hear at times. If something is not very good in one game, slapping it into the Zelda world doesn’t magically make the thing good. This goes for any Nintendo property btw.
Pirat_Nation 🔴@Pirat_Nation

Overwatch co-creator Jeff Kaplan says The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the greatest game ever made: "So, there's one that's the best – it's The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. "Nintendo is the mecca, they're the best," and "if it's from Nintendo, it's going to be great."

@richter_sp29198 @Critical_Scribe His sequelitis video came off as him just sucking at playing games. I stopped watching GG because he kept running around in circles for hours and blaming the game for him not being able to figure out what to do. Arin is DSP with an actual audience.

@Critical_Scribe The utter lack of characters I give a shit about in Zelda BOTW and TOTK is the biggest flaw in both games. I guess when you're too chicken shit to have the hero and heroine fall in love after 100 games why should I expect you to write compelling side characters?

@Critical_Scribe People say it has an amazing story which really confuses me. The story barely exists and is clearly an afterthought. I can't get myself to replay the game because the content just sucks, it's the most fucking overrated game I've ever played.

@gabo_fur @detector_sm0ke A game doesn't really need major skips to be fun for speedrunning. Good controls are enough, of which Sunshine doesn't have.
