@RealMrPivot The real issue is when pride enters before understanding. That combo never ends well.

“I left my husband of four years and walked away from my marriage. Now I’m back to the streets.” That was the shocking confession of a Nigerian woman living in the UK. According to her, she and her husband have two children together, with the youngest barely a year old. Since relocating to the UK, their marriage had been built on a strict 50/50 arrangement, with both of them splitting bills and responsibilities equally. The breaking point came when their company finally paid staff wages that had been owed for almost a year. The payment left her with about £4,000. When her husband found out, he allegedly demanded that she contribute £2,000 or even £3,0000towards their monthly expenses. She couldn't believe it. "We've been doing 50/50 all this while, and you still want a share of my personal money?" she recalled asking him. But his response hurt even more. "He told me that if not for him, I would still be in Nigeria suffering and earning what everyone else earns." That statement opened old wounds and triggered a heated argument. At that moment, she decided she had had enough. "I told him to go and bring another woman if he thinks I can't survive without him. I can't be doing 50/50 and still have a man monitoring every penny I make." The woman said she packed up and left the marriage last week. She also had a message for other women abroad: "If you're doing better financially than your husband, don't tell him everything. If you're earning £3,000, tell him it's £1,500. The moment some men know you have money, they start feeling entitled to it." Now separated and starting over, she says she has no regrets."

I’ve grown from zero followers to over 75,000 followers on LinkedIn in two years of intentional building. I’ve worked with brands, accessed rooms that on a normal day I probably wouldn’t have had access to, and met amazing people across different industries. Not because I had special connections. Not because I was the smartest person in the room. But because I chose to build on LinkedIn. I chose to put myself out there, even when many people around me were skeptical about the platform and the idea of showing up online. And I do not have one regret. Despite all the narratives about LinkedIn, it is still very possible to win on the platform when you understand how it works. So, I’ll be hosting a class where I’ll be teaching: • How LinkedIn works • How to build from scratch • How to grow intentionally • The types of content to post • How to stay consistent • How to position yourself for opportunities • How to earn from LinkedIn Date: June 26th, 2026 Time: 7-9PM Platform: Google Meet Fee: ₦5,000 Access Link: nestuge.com/howtowinonlink… See you in class.

This woman pictured below, threw her 5-year-old child into a river because she believed the child was responsible for her inability to conceive again. According to her, she had not been able to get pregnant after giving birth to the child, who had also been unable to walk since birth. In search of answers, she visited a seer in Benin, who allegedly told her that the child was a python in human form. The seer reportedly warned that if she did not get rid of the child, she would either continue giving birth to children with similar conditions or never conceive again. Acting on that advice, she threw the child into a river. She was caught and held down by some fishermen.

Life will test you in so many ways. It will figure out your weakest link and use it against you. It will use you against you. It will even make you doubt yourself to the extent that you will start questioning your entire existence. It will so push you against the wall... down to the point that "ending it all" becomes a consideration. It will make you feel helpless, clueless, directionless, useless, and hopeless. But when that happens... because it will surely happen at some point(s) in your life. First of all, drink water. Just drink water. Because water is life.

Hard reality: Life is not balanced. Some people will work hard from the day they are born until the day they die and still have little to show for it. Some people will be born into wealth and never know what it means to struggle. Some will spend decades building wealth and lose it all in a few years. Some will inherit wealth they did not create and multiply it effortlessly. Some will become rich in their twenties. Some will not get their breakthrough until their sixties. Some will never get the breakthrough they spent their entire lives waiting for. Some will make money but lose their health. Some will keep both their money and their health. Some will be born healthy and spend their lives in hospitals. Some will be born with disadvantages and still outperform everyone around them. Some will do everything right and fail. Some will do everything wrong and succeed. Some will be given opportunities. Some will spend their lives searching for opportunities. Some will be carried by luck. Some will be crushed by circumstances. Some will be loved without effort. Some will spend their lives seeking love. Some will enjoy peace. Some will spend their lives fighting battles they never created. The world does not distribute suffering equally. The world does not distribute opportunities equally. The world does not distribute wealth equally. The world does not distribute timing equally. That is why comparing your life to someone else's is foolish. People are not running the same race, starting from the same place, carrying the same burdens, or receiving the same opportunities. Reality is uneven. It always has been.

Respect should be earned, not demanded because of age. Older people deserve courtesy, but wisdom and character should determine the level of respect someone receives.

Something just happened to me at Food Mart Katampe.😩😭 I was shopping and suddenly saw my youth leader picking up a few things. After greeting her, I told her I’d take care of her bill. She politely said no, but I insisted. What I didn’t realize was that the trolley beside her, packed to the brim was also hers. 😭 It wasn’t until everything was dropped on the counter and the cashier started calculating that I knew I had messed up😭 Her bill: ₦89,677 My bill: ₦21,000 At that point, all I could do was stand there and scroll through my account balance and pray I had enough money to accommodate the bills.
