If a man’s instinct is to plow through the woman he’s supposedly protecting, his instinct is not actually to protect. It’s a sign of a man who can’t control his emotions or look out for his woman correctly. Being fine with a husband elbowing his wife in the head is insane.

There is a huge difference here: nobody on the Right justified, rationalized, or celebrated the white supremacist in Buffalo. But many people on the Left, including in prestige media, have justified, rationalized, and celebrated left-wing violence, from BLM to the present.

When a white supremacist gunned down 10 black people in a Buffalo supermarket in 2022, the NYT's @Jbouie and other liberals blamed mainstream conservatives for "inspiring" the anti-immigration views in whose name that shooter killed. Bouie claimed in the NYT that the killer's manifesto was "virtually indistinguishable from mainstream Republican rhetoric," and conservatives thus bear blame. Liberals wanted Jack Smith to prosecute Trump for the violence on January 6 based on this same theory: that Trump "inspired" the January 6 violence because his speech "inspired" that violence and they acted in the name of Trump's repeated claim that the 2020 election was stolen. The Right also embraces this theory, as they're doing now: blaming liberals and Trump critics for last night's WHCD's shooter because the would-be assassin's manifesto shows he acted in the name of common anti-Trump sentiments (ironically, last night's shooter actually did read and liked many liberal statements, including those of Jamelle Bouie, Wil Stancil and other partisan liberal luminaries). All of this is dumb. Words are not violence. You're not responsible for someone's violent acts because they share some or even all of your views. The Supreme Court has repeatedly said that preserving the distinction between words and violence is vital for basic conceptions of free speech (see Claiborne v. NAACP (1982). You allowed to express opposition to open borders, and you're allowed to criticize the American President, even harshly, without being held responsible if some lunatic uses violence in the name of your views. They arrested the President of the United States of America 4X, charged him 91X, indicted him 4X, spied on his campaign, sabotaged his first term, jailed his supporters, raided his private residence, censored him, gagged him, tried to bankrupt him, and attempted to remove him from state ballots.
When all of that failed they tried to assassinate him not once but four times.
And they go on national television to talk about how we need to vote for them to save democracy.

Although we don’t yet have the details about the motives behind last night's shooting at the White House Correspondents Dinner, it’s incumbent upon all us to reject the idea that violence has any place in our democracy. It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them – and thankful that the agent who was shot is going to be okay.

Almost every day I have people in my replies calling Democrats "Bolsheviks" or "commies" or "Marxists," and on those occasions I correct them, I often get ratiod in my own replies.
Basically everything the right accuses the left of, they do themselves. The fact they can't see it tells you what a brain poison partisanship is.

You might not call yourself a communist.
But if you consistently advocate for policies that expand state control over markets, property, and speech ESPECIALLY in ways historically associated with communist systems? People are going to use that label whether you like it or not.
