Another tragic, fatal shooting by a federal immigration officer in Minnesota.
This is heartbreaking and infuriating. My office is gathering information as we speak.
But what we do know: ICE’s egregious, reckless behavior in our communities must come to an end.
Now.
Somali Day Care Center in Minnesota exposed as completely empty by independent journalist @nickshirleyy:
Q: “It says you have 102 children here, and you got $2.66 million dollars in funding?”
A: “That is harassment” *Slams Door*
If you're writing about the paperback "Lolita" in the latest Epstein photos, it would be a really good idea to talk to Lydia Cacho, the Mexican journalist who documented trafficking of girls from small towns to tourist meccas.
Those girls were required to watch "Pretty Woman"
@BraedenSorbo@AndrewKolvet@Riley_Gaines_@vailschools I’m a huge Charlie Kirk supporter, so don’t come after me for saying this. These are math teachers and math equations are called what? Math ‘Problems’, hence the joke…”Problem Solved”. Don’t purposely destroy people’s lives when you’re not 100% sure what you’re saying is true .
@CanonUSA It's hard to imagine a less-satisfying product than TS7722. Not only can it not stay connected to the only computer that uses it, but user support is an endless string of sign-ups and hurdles. It's like you WANT me to hate the product and hate CANON. Do NOT BUY one.
@jasondebolt Snowflake, the definition of news is that which is ... new.
People have driven badly, in traffic, since 1920. Autonomous vehicles just arrived.
If you're going to whine about news coverage of the results of this experiment with the very new, I'll call you a waaaambulance.
In the U.S. alone, 108 people died yesterday, 108 people will die today, and another 108 people will die tomorrow in vehicle accidents. And yet the national mainstream media won’t say a word about it.
But if ONE Tesla robotaxi, after months of zero injury incidents, merely bumps into a human leg without injury, it will make headlines all over the world.
That’s how fucked the reporting is around autonomous vehicles. Tesla knows this, and they are being ultra cautious with the robotaxi rollout.
Road accidents have killed approximately THREE TIMES MORE Americans than all wars combined. Human operated vehicle accidents have killed over 4 million souls since 1899. Every Tesla engineer working in FSD is a fucking hero.
@JustTheTweets17 Ms. Hope. Fact Checker at Lead Stories, here. Is there a version of this picture that was online BEFORE the shootings? It would be useful to have a link to that.
@KyleClark And that's why most defense attorneys will never willingly put their client on the stand. Lindell's testimony makes me wonder if the defense isn't building a case for a insanity plea.
If MyPillowGuy Mike Lindell loses his election rigging defamation trial in Denver, this will be the day that did it. And the witness who sealed his fate? Himself.
@edgarjbb_@PillarCatholic Are you permitting use of these? I found one of them on Wikimedia. We are a fact check newsroom publishing a post about our reporter's experience on-site yesterday.
Except you misstated what exxalerts said... here's what he actually said... so, it's not that he was "busted" per se... it was uncovered through USAID
Don't lower yourself to MSMs standards!
From exxalerts:
BREAKING: 🚨 Barack Obama busted labeling USAID money as "aid" and then laundering in the Cayman Islands to be used for funding and training "Rent-a-Riots" to overthrow governments.
@MetaNewsroom Gee, what do you think (after X posts and Wikipedia) is the most common source cited in X community notes, which have been upvoted as useful/reliable???
Fact Checks by Meta partners.
Rolling out soon, Community Notes will be a new way for our community to decide when content is confusing or may need additional context. It is replacing our prior fact checking program that has been seen, by many, as biased.

@BillAdairDuke This isn't a study of "fact checking".
It's a study of one newsroom: Politifact. (methodology section:"Fact-checks used in our analysis are sourced from Politifact")
Politifact is but one of many, and not the most prolific.
So: "...new study from Princeton finds Politifact.."
Timely new study from Princeton researchers finds fact-checkers don’t show party bias in selecting politicians to check. But they do focus on political leaders more than rank-and-file. academic.oup.com/pnasnexus/adva…
@ichbinilya@jason_koebler I'm a fact checker. We have been looking at those cabin crew posts for months wondering wtaf. Best I can figure is that they are just testing, testing, testing the fences.
After months of digging and reporting, I have learned where Facebook's bizarre AI spam (like "Shrimp Jesus") comes from, who is making it, how it works, and how it is monetized.
Turns out Meta is directly paying people to spam FB with this stuff
