We would argue that in some scenarios synchronous visit is absolutely necessary, ie anxious parents dealing with kids fever.

Telehealth will never take off until payors are 100% agnostic to the method of communication and the value communication brings to managing the health issue. Literally, the same value can often be delivered in a one sentence asynchronous update as a 15 minute office visit.

Dropped my #otoscope 3 times in the space of an hour on Monday, unsurprising that it cracked.it did still work - good old #WelchAllyn
Ordered a new one but had to get one that isn’t my brand Colour as my colour was out of stock. Sad to be replacing the blue one

The otoscope is the tool used to visualize the ear canal and eardrum👂This tool is typically used first by audiologists and physicians for all ear-related appointments. The otoscope can help identify outer/middle ear abnormalities such as excessive wax, signs of infection, etc.

The worst! We all understand the pain, hope like most ear infections their heal on their own in a few days and feel better soon! A pediatrician friend of mine told me nose wash could help prevent recurring ones!

You could and perhaps should if it’s recurring! An online doctor could be helpful if you are fearful of in-person visits. Hope you feel better soon!

Pain especially when lying down is especially pronounced for ear infections. There is probably fluid causing pressure imbalance. A nose wash sometimes help believe it or not. So sorry to hear, it’s the worst!

The worst part about my current ear infection is not my entire inability to hear from my left ear, but the extreme discomfort when laying in my normal sleep position.
