@thomashawk @SFBART Now they just cut holes in the fence and BART sends out 300k a year persons to watch the holes - all day long everywhere. It’s not as great a solution as anyone thinks. Financially as others have stated. The gates will never get paid off.

I’ve seen hundreds of people jump the old fare gates at the MacArthur @SFBART station in Oakland over the years. Since they installed the new ones though about a year ago I haven’t seen a single person go through without tapping. It’s not that it’s impossible to tailgate with these new gates, or climb around, but I think it curtails 99% of the fare evaders who used to simply do a quick little hop of the turnstile. Back before these gates a fare evader once stabbed and killed a woman at this station. The crazy thing is that it took SOOOOO long to get these gates installed and the woke “transit should be free” crowd fought them so hard. MacArthur BART in Oakland was one of the last stations to get the gates even though it’s where some of the worst offenders jumped the old turnstiles. These gates are a big reason why things have gotten better on BART trains in the past year.

That assumes no increase in the annual deficit (unlikely), no reduction in the annual deficit (probablity approaches 0), and no additional lump sum debt issuance (also unlikely/approacing 0 probability).

The US deficit is now $39 trillion dollars. But the US population is also huge, 349,000,000 people. So if they all paid $112 then the deficit would be paid off. Why aren't they doing this??

I took a walk through the Trump International Hotel on Fashion Show Drive at 9AM this morning… If anyone tells you the Strip is "quiet" mid-week, they aren't looking in the right places. Busy lobby. Packed restaurant. Zero casino. It’s one of the only non-gaming, non-smoking high-rises right off the Strip — and a lot of the rooms are actually privately owned. Location Check: Right behind the Fashion Show Mall (yes, the one with the actual retractable runway for catwalks 👠) and across from the Resorts World. The Crowd: The lobby was buzzing. I walked in rocking my Mets hat and a San Diego Padres shirt and realized very quickly—I was definitely the most casual person in the room. This place is polished, busy, and full of life. The Big Question: With no casino on-site, what’s drawing everyone in? Are you going to Vegas for the casino… Or would you actually stay somewhere like this? @TrumpLasVegas #vegas

@pipedreams24 Enjoy. The 6.6 is a good motor. I think the 10 speed transmission issues have been resolved by now? The earlier HD2.5 Silverados 6.6 with the 6 speed is good. There is some oil consumption, normal driving half a quart between oil changes. It is DI so plan on intake clean 50k.

I bought it for $73,000. First new vehicle. The used market is so jacked up it made this decision easy. If I get 200,000 out of it that’s about .30/mile. 6.6L gasser 2500HD AT4.
