We aren’t talking about Summer Lee for President. That’s too bad, bc she’s amazing. The entire reason an AOC for President discussion is on the table is bc she’s mega famous. If AOC’s reach doesn’t matter then we should simply support whoever has the best votes- not AOC.

UN special rapporteur Francesca Albenese @FranceskAlbs speaks to pro-Israeli🇮🇱 protesters following a public event in cologne. What a strong woman. Heard that they insulted her many times before and after, but she stayed calm and respectful. Respect her for staying so composed and reasonable, even when others were completely out of touch with reality.

Cory Booker was asked if he’d support Trump’s diplomatic efforts to end the war and weirdly says no, because he doesn’t support anything this administration does. Ok Trump sucks but can we end the war? This is crazy talk

I love Israel, and I love Israelis, but the morons in Netanyahu's government sure don't make it fucking easy.

Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR) has written a critique on the NY Times’ coverage of the Iran war. As FAIR notes, the Times has multiple correspondents on the ground in Israel, but none in Iran. The Times claims that the press conditions in Iran are too restrictive, but like the CNN correspondent who is quoted in the FAIR article, I’ve been able to report on everything I wanted to cover during my time in Iran. Moreover, the NY Times has people on the ground in Israel despite the severe censorship Israel imposes in times of war. Even worse, Israel has murdered hundreds of journalists whose coverage it did not like. There’s no worse form of censorship than murdering journalists, but the NY Times correspondents have nothing to fear in that regard because their reporting is fanatically pro-Israel. fair.org/home/nyt-cover…

@_ericblanc Not endorsing this sorry.

It’s also misguided to view punishment as the primary method of moving people that are under that intense pressure. If you accept in good faith that they are doing everything they can as individuals under the conditions they operate under, then our job is to change the conditions

I'm concerned we are falling into a trap with exaggerated, social media driven hysteria over the Iran conflict.

These rallies are not opposition but instead affirm the legitimacy of a system that has never been legitimate for millions of us in the U.S. and around the world. Not centering U.S. warmongering & bipartisan support for genocide reveals the phony nature of these social outings.
