What a mess, selfish.
Ken Colbert@KColbertReport

“If I was a someone fresh out of school, or someone younger that did not have a network outside of Indiana, I would have been dead,” she said. Of Bessolo’s situation, Roberts said: “It's not uncommon for someone that does not perform according to their agreement to become disenfranchised and disgruntled.”  Walter, the Code19 Racing CEO, said even with IAC's challenges, it's a worthwhile investment that could benefit from more oversight. “IAC should consider creating an independent industry advisory council and broadening the board to reduce perceptions of personal gain," he said. "Ultimately, I commend leaders like Chad Pittman and universities like Purdue and IU for taking the risk to attempt the impossible with the IAC.” Just two IAC university teams spun off companies, Mitchell said. Neither company stayed in Indiana. The goal to create Indiana spinoffs was removed from later grants. As the Holcomb administration was coming to an end and it was unclear whether the IEDC would renew its funding in the Indy Autonomous Challenge, Mitchell started to look for sources of money elsewhere and eventually found takers in Belgium. Now, a Belgium-based for-profit company called Aidoptation has acquired some of the racing league’s intellectual property. Mitchell said it was the only way to preserve the Indy Autonomous Challenge. And ultimately, if the Belgium company makes a profit, the Indiana-based nonprofit benefits as the majority shareholder. "What we got as Indiana and the nonprofit that was based here is this racing program got to continue to exist," Mitchell said. Nonetheless, the arrangement has raised some eyebrows. It was also brought to the governor's office's attention. “It’s literally the exact opposite of what all of this money was ever supposed to be for,” a former IAC supplier told IndyStar. @indystar @IndySpanglish

Lion of Judah
Lion of Judah@divinethree333·
The Shroud of Turin is the single most fascinating and perplexing artifact ever discovered baffling scientists, historians and believers for centuries. Scientific analysis confirms the body image was not formed by paint, dye, ink, pigments or any artistic medium….no brush strokes, no directionality, no binders. The coloration results from a precise chemical alteration of the linen fibers themselves. The image is extraordinarily superficial, affecting only the topmost microfibrils of the threads… we’re talking about a depth of a few hundred “nanometers”. To put that in perspective a single human hair is 80,000 nanometers thick….the image on the Shroud is thinner than a soap bubble. The image resides solely on the outermost surface layer with no penetration into the cloth as would occur with liquids or pigments. This superficiality combined with the images lack of distortion, its photographic negative quality and its embedded 3D information points to a rapid intense burst of energy….most plausibly in the form of vacuum ultraviolet radiation or similar electromagnetic phenomena. Italian researchers at ENEA have shown that replicating even key aspects of the image requires an immense flash of energy. Estimates range from billions to as high as 34 trillion watts delivered in an incredibly brief pulse…..on the order of 1/40th of a billionth of a second. Any slower or less controlled release would scorch or incinerate the delicate linen instead of delicately discoloring it. No known natural process or current human technology can fully account for such a precise, non-destructive encoding of a full-body image originating from within the wrapped form. What kind of event could generate a sudden intense burst of radiant energy from a lifeless body…..without causing heat damage, scorching or any detectable residue…..while imprinting the cloth in this extraordinary way? The only logical explanation that unites the forensic evidence—wounds precisely matching Roman scourging, crucifixion (wrist and foot nailing) a side spear wound and a crown of thorns….with this otherwise inexplicable image formation process is the Resurrection itself. At the moment Christ rose a divine burst of light…..the radiant glory of His glorified body (brighter than the sun) imprinted the cloth as He passed thru the linen leaving a photographic negative that has baffled science for over two millennia. In layman terms, the Shroud of Turin is quite possibly the first selfie ever taken capturing the moment of resurrection in real time. #JesusIsKing #JesusIsLord

I post a lot about the people I shadow Never posted about someone who shadows me He's there every morning before I log on Every late night when I'm the last one in the building He doesn't cc leadership when I mess up Just quietly covers the balance Every quarter I've come up short, he absorbs the liability himself Never once asked for anything in return So I finally looked at the terms The buyer acquired 100% of the liability The seller brought nothing to the table And the buyer still closed Unconditional Turns out he signed it before I even knew there was a deal My analyst tried to model the return Said it doesn't work on a spreadsheet Said the whole thesis is based on something he can't quantify Told him welcome to the deal Happy Easter

Bono’s Bible
Bono’s Bible@BonosBible·
The Easter Message in U2’s “Scars” — by Ken M. Penner In Bono’s imaginative world, faith often begins as the quiet hum of a Dublin choir or the polite Jesus of the Sunday school wall charts. It is the Jesus who stands at the door and knocks, waiting for the believer to turn the brass handle (Revelation 3:20). But as one lives a little longer, gathering the “scar tissue” of human struggle and sitting in the harsh, fluorescent glare of hospital waiting rooms, the realization dawns that grace isn’t always polite. Sometimes history stops knocking and starts using a boot. Sometimes the doors of the heart have to be kicked open. “Scars” is a lyric that feels written with the police report of Good Friday still warm in the hands. Bono’s work pushes back against sanitizing the cross, reminding the listener that it was a brutal state execution. The song plunges into the roar of the townhall demanding a scapegoat (Matthew 27), the cynical suits making laws out of lies, and the cold, terrifying steel of the “nails of the state.” One cannot sing about this Passion without tasting the sour vinegar on the sponge (John 19). The lyric wants the listener to feel the absolute physical wreckage of it. When the song shifts and asks, “Put your hand in my side,” it evokes Thomas in the upper room (John 20), yes, but it is also a demand to touch the very real, bleeding contours of the marginalized today. The loser. The least (Matthew 25). That is where the divine hides. And the wildest twist of the narrative—the paradox Isaiah saw centuries before when he wrote that “with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53)—is that the trauma isn’t erased on Easter morning. The wounds remain. The scars are what give true beauty; they are the proof of love’s stubborn persistence. Bono’s writing has long been drawn to the strange fact that when the resurrected Christ steps out of the blackest night into the blue dawn, his own friends don’t even recognize him. Mary thinks he’s the gardener in the dirt (John 20); the disciples on the road to Emmaus think he’s just a stranger talking too much (Luke 24). It is the terrifying and beautiful promise of “Scars”: You won’t know who I am the next time we meet. But the divine knows exactly who the believer is, bruises, scars, and all. ________________________________________________ Dr. Ken M. Penner is a professor of Religious Studies at St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, Canada. He is also a founding member of Bono’s Bible. @kmpenner welcomes any comments.

I've lived and worked around the world and it's those very limited people here in Indy who think that their experience going to Paris or New York once or twice + listening to NPR makes them sophisticated enough to be condescending about Indy who absolutely drive me crazy.

U2
U2@U2·
You wait twenty five years for a new edition of Propaganda and then two come along at once. You wait eight years for a new collection of U2 songs…and then two come along at once.  The Easter Lily EP is accompanied by another special digital e-zine edition of Propaganda. Titled ‘U2 - Propaganda - Easter Lily’, this magazine features contributions from the four band members including sleeve notes from The Edge; Adam Clayton on art and the journey of recovery; a conversation between Bono and Franciscan friar Richard Rohr; and in-the-studio photographs shot by Larry Mullen Jr.  Forty years ago, in February 1986, the first issue of Propaganda dropped through the letterboxes of U2 fans around the world. Aspiring to match other fan magazines at that time, Propaganda was born out of the punk-era D.I.Y. zine culture that embraced attitude, ideas and dialogue.  Easter Lily EP available now. This….”Let’s Roll” ⬇️
The Husky@Mr_Husky1

He was thirty-two years old, a husband, a father of two little boys, and expecting a daughter in just a few months. In his final moments, knowing he would never meet her, Todd Beamer could have begged for mercy. Instead, he organized a resistance, prayed with a stranger, and spoke two words the world would never forget. It was September 11, 2001. United Airlines Flight 93 took off from Newark at 8:42 a.m., delayed and routine, heading for San Francisco. On board were 44 people: passengers, crew, and four hijackers. Among the passengers was Todd Beamer, traveling for work and planning to surprise his pregnant wife, Lisa, on her birthday. At 9:28 a.m., chaos erupted. Hijackers stormed the cockpit. The plane jolted violently. Screams echoed through the cabin. Within minutes, Flight 93 was turned around and redirected east, toward Washington, D.C. The pilots were gone. Control of the aircraft was no longer in the hands of those trained to fly it. Todd Beamer picked up the seat-back Airfone. He didn’t call his wife. He didn’t call a friend. He reached a customer service center and was connected to Lisa Jefferson, a GTE supervisor. What followed was a thirteen-minute call that would become part of history. Todd spoke with clarity and composure. He described the hijackers, the weapons, the layout of the cabin, the absence of the pilots. Lisa listened, documented everything, and stayed with him. As other passengers on Flight 93 made calls of their own, a devastating truth came into focus. The World Trade Center had been hit. The Pentagon had been struck. This was not an isolated hijacking. Their plane was part of a coordinated attack. Todd understood what that meant. Doing nothing would not save them. Compliance would not bring negotiations. The aircraft itself was intended to become a weapon. Whatever target lay ahead would suffer massive loss of life unless something changed. Todd asked Lisa to do something deeply personal. If he didn’t survive, would she call his family and tell them how much he loved them? He had every reason to be terrified. His wife was seven months pregnant. His sons were three years old and one year old. He would never meet his daughter. He would never see his children grow. But fear did not paralyze him. It focused him. Todd joined with other passengers, including Tom Burnett, Mark Bingham, and Jeremy Glick. They spoke quietly. They compared information. They weighed the risks. They understood the outcome either way. Remaining seated meant certain death and catastrophic consequences on the ground. Fighting back meant danger, injury, and likely death — but it also meant the chance to stop the attack. Over the phone, Lisa could hear the resolve forming. Todd returned to the call and asked one final thing. He asked Lisa to pray with him. At thirty thousand feet, facing the end of his life, he recited the Lord’s Prayer with a stranger. His voice did not shake. When the prayer ended, he paused, then turned back to the others. “Are you ready, guys?” “Okay.” “Let’s roll.” Lisa stayed on the line as movement erupted in the background. Shouting. Struggle. The sound of passengers rushing forward. At 10:03 a.m., United Flight 93 crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Everyone on board was killed. But the plane never reached Washington. Investigators later concluded Flight 93 was likely headed for the U.S. Capitol or the White House. Because of what happened inside that cabin, that attack never occurred. Countless lives were spared by people who knew they might not survive and chose to act anyway. The 9/11 Commission later described the actions of the passengers of Flight 93 as the first successful counterattack of that day. It was not led by soldiers or commanders. It was led by ordinary people who refused to be passive. Todd Beamer’s daughter, Morgan, was born four months later. She grew up knowing who her father was and what he chose.

@Daniel_Miller8 @FOX59 I have a different memory of the report you presented during the 23:00 newscast, specifically at 11:15 mark. My memory reminds me that the pres. @BarackObama administration contracted w/ a foreign construction company who fleeced billions of taxpayer (yours & mine) dollars and could not finish the project. Only then did @HolcombForIN who overtaxed us and used the #surplus to hire #Hoosier construction companies to finish the #Indiana portion. Perhaps the bridge from #evansville across the #ohioriver would not require a toll & #Louisiana would be further along in their portion of the project. As a potential advertiser, I will not consider your station. Shame on you for not reporting this story honestly and presenting the true #history behind it #I_69
