@SamHunt_4 @CFBNerds @AriWasserman All 3 of these were 2 loss teams. Texas was ahead of all of them despite being awful in half of their games. I agree we should value schedule strength but without an objective metric there is no method for doing so.

The idea that teams aren't rewarded for having quality wins is the most asinine, dead-brained opinion one could conceivably have in this discussion.

@Fennelly64 @CFBNerds @AriWasserman But this is forward looking it isn’t just 2025 Texas it’s can a 3 loss team jump a 2 loss team from a P4 conference. Alabama is implying they don’t think so by considering canceling the game

@SamHunt_4 @CFBNerds @AriWasserman Yeah I’m saying Texas fans are lying to themselves - they were the rewarded for their schedule for being the highest rated 3 loss team. They weren’t able to surpass others because they were horrible against Florida, miss st, Kentucky, and Arkansas, they were properly rated.

@Fennelly64 @CFBNerds @AriWasserman Were you talking about Bama? I thought Texas. Either way, Alabama is surveying the landscape and considering whether avoiding losses is best. It may be best in order to get playoff appearances - but that’s bad for the sport imo.

I’m how many 3 loss teams are ranked above them? I’m pointing out a logical contradiction
