I was sad Filler wasn't on the web, so I rebuilt it with javascript/phaser. Which means it's kind of on mobile again, too? (the old busted 480x320 version never got updated to 64-bit). Might play with the PWA apis later and make it "installable." simianlogic.com/games/filler/

@lydiahallie Does this work when using subagents or we’re still limited to depth=1 (ie subagents can use skills but can’t fork context)?

Btw you can add `context: fork` to run a skill in an isolated subagent. The main context only sees the final result, not the intermediate tool calls It gets a fresh context window with CLAUDE.md + your skill as the prompt. The `agent` field even lets you set the subagent type!

@trq212 I have pr-status skill that checks to see if CI finished, pulls down any failing checks, and pulls down comments. It’s then easy to follow up and say: “fix a,b, and c. ignore the rest”. Saves a bunch of time

Still mostly sticking to the basics but daaaaang will I shell out for novel exercise gadgets. Got a loadable mace last month. Ordered like $500 worth of grip strength tools this month (mostly unique grips).

@Shpigford Weight loss + sunshine/stress management + resistance training. Got mine from ~250 to 450 last test. I did clomid + anastrazole for 3 mos a few years back and got a temporary spike, but it dropped back down as soon as I stopped. Lifestyle stuff is harder but more persistent.

First DIYish 3d printer project. Printed a travel case for aeropress xl filters and thought it would be nice if I could lock the filter cap on top. Took a few iterations (after the first full cap I just printed the locking mechanism ). Final version (hopefully) printing now.

@terribledustin @cursor_ai If it bombs on the plan doc I'll reset back and add more to the doc, then let it go again. If it bombs a few times I'll have it split the project into phases and iterate on one phase at a time.

Hit the usage limit for the first time with @cursor_ai Any tips? Should I just pay for extra usage? Different tool? BYOK?

When I use cursor compose or claude code, I spend way less time coding and more time doing code review and QA. Which... kind of sucks? More efficient but also less fun. Reminds me of my time as a team lead.

Is there a good client-side-only React playground/sandbox? Something that's lightweight and basically instant without all of the complexity of running VMs in the browser like all the other tools seem to be doing these days.

I discovered Cursor made LOTS of duplicate functions while editing my functions, instead of using the one already existing to edit, it'd add a new one In JS they just overwrite like variables, so there was no errors! Probably due to context window limits of Sonnet 3.5 Anyway, I asked ChatGPT to find all duplicate functions (made CMD+F function list) Now it (obviously) works a lot better when asking Cursor to do something but I have to keep an eye out on duplicate functions!

@tylertringas @Calendly Never ascribe to malice what can be explained by incompetence well, not incompetence so much as: no one wants to work on billing flows, they rarely keep up with product/packaging changes, and it never seems as important as stuff people use every day in the priority list

@levelsio @PascalPixel @daylightco @tldraw I got one. Wanted a bigger kindle I could do crossword puzzles on. It’s great for home where I can always charge but not a kindle replacement on the go. I thought I would use it for web based coding outside but the lack of syntax coloring was way more jarring than expected.

My friend @PascalPixel dropped of a @daylightco this week So I tested it It's very responsive, I'd say close to as fast as real paper, writing on it is nice, it's fun to illustrate too, I thought @tldraw a drawing app as a website on tldraw .com actually works best For handwriting I might be the wrong person to judge it because I literally just type everything these days and don't use paper because digital is just way faster (I use Telegram's Saved Messages for everything) It's also nice to read Hacker News on etc. One thing that REALLY sucks though and nobody seems to mention is the insane glare this thing has If you put it on your table and there's a light above you, it'll produce a massive glare and because you have 2 eyes and that glare is in two different spots, it's essentially unreadable because it's so annoying It only works if you have diffuse (spread) light like outside in the sun Also the included pen feels great but it doesn't magnetically stick to the side like with an iPad, which seems like a miss because I already keep losing it everywhere Anyway I rate it a 7/10 I think 8/10 if glare is fixed and pen magnetic 9/10 if color!

@levelsio I think the ATX stuff looks nice in Europe. atxfitness.com/atxr-hardcore-… Or rogue fm-6 if you want "not black." Planning to get a REP Ares in the US but I don't think they're shipping in Europe yet (still on preorder even in the US)

@blakeir I’m the opposite. If I try to take notes in a a meeting my engagement drops to 0. I can’t take notes and think critically at the same time, they’re different parts of my brain.

Random thoughts: AI meeting apps promise better notes and recall, but I fear they’ll make us worse at being present. Letting the AI pay attention for you is a shortcut to disengagement.
