Zubimendi has had his best 45 minutes for a while. Rice and Eze playing well. But the front three are just losing the ball time and time again, especially in transition. Makes it very hard for Arsenal to keep Sporting pinned back in their own half.

Arsenal's record with a front three of Madueke, Martinelli and Gyokeres is four wins, two draws, two defeats (that's good unless you're title chasing). In the Premier League they are at one win, two draws, two losses. Analytically, well, it's not great, especially in the league.

Never happening but we MUST see Rice as the six, Lewis-Skelly as the eight and Eze as the ten as the midfield trio at some point. Zubimendi’s form is on the floor and there’s clearly not trust in Norgaard. There’s no way we can go into Sunday with a Zubimendi, Rice and Havertz midfield. It’s never worked and never will.
