Albertans did not vote for separatism in the last provincial election. It was not on the ballot, it was not central to the government’s platform, and it was not presented as a mandate to destabilize the future of Confederation.
At a time of global economic uncertainty, Alberta should be focused on strengthening investment, expanding market access, building infrastructure, creating jobs, and helping lead a strong Canadian economy, not fuelling political chaos that undermines confidence in our future.
Alberta’s strength has always come from helping build Canada, not retreating from it. We are strongest when Alberta is at the centre of a united, ambitious, and economically confident Canada.

My thoughts on Apex's Live Program: Like 99% of you, I too am not a fan of what I have seen so far, I trust that it will be reworked after hearing a lot of feedback from affiliates and from traders. Here is what I think it should look like: Drawdown should be figured based on how many accounts and what size: 25k = $500 DD per account 50k = $1000 DD per account 100k = $1200 DD per account 150k = $1500 DD per account So if you have 20 50k accounts transitioning to live you get 20k DD. The other elephant in the room that needs to be addressed is moving people Live after 1,2 or 3 payouts, it was promoted that you can get 6 payouts before you get moved Live. Traders need to trust that they can get to 6 payouts before getting moved to live. The issue is, how do you handle traders that get 1-2 payouts, blow up and then rinse/repeat? I propose a rolling 12 month payout cap, maybe 500-600k and once you hit this amount in any rolling 12 month period you will get transitioned to live if you reach the buffer. What happens with your remaining balance? Im conflicted on this, I would be ok with a vault if the previous things mentioned happen.. 🤷 Apex is the first Prop firm I ever tried and they are my first love, and all I want is for Apex to be great again, so I hope they take this as constructive feedback. Alberta joined Confederation in 1905, not 1867. The founding deal was already written, the rules were already set, and Alberta signed onto an existing arrangement. Then Alberta struck oil.
Now Alberta wants to rewrite the constitution it inherited. Think about that dynamic for a second.
You are the new hire. You did not build the company. You did not negotiate the founding partnership agreement. You showed up decades later, accepted the terms, and were handed a desk. Then you hit a massive sales streak and suddenly you want to vote like the CEO and renegotiate the partnership from scratch.
The original partners, Ontario and Quebec, built the institutional framework, absorbed the risk of Confederation, and carried the country financially for generations before Alberta was even a province. The equalization system Alberta despises today exists because the founding provinces understood that regional economies are uneven, and a country only holds together if the arrangement is broadly fair over time.
Alberta’s contribution to Canada is real and significant. The oil revenues that flowed east supported federal revenues and transfers for decades. That deserves acknowledgment.
But “we generate revenue now” is not the same as “we designed this institution and therefore get to unilaterally change its rules.” Every new partner in any organization brings value. That does not automatically translate into governance authority that overrides the foundational agreement everyone else built and agreed to.
If Alberta wants more weight in Confederation, the path is constitutional negotiation with the other partners. Not threats. Not sovereignty referendums. Not pretending the founding compact was illegitimate because it predates your membership.
You want a seat at the head table? Earn it through the process that exists. You do not get to flip the table because you are currently the top salesperson.

I love Alberta. I grew up here. Built my life here. Watched my siblings raise their children here. My family built businesses here. Hi Conner,
Between April 15th and April 22nd, we sent 4 separate formal compliance warning emails to you citing CME Rule 575 (flashing orders) with specific alerts and timestamps.
These alerts come from our compliance partner Eventus, an official CME Group technology partner. Each email warned that continued activity could result in a permanent block.
You responded to multiple emails. On April 21st, you wrote that you thought the alerts might be caused by your OCO (one-cancels-the-other) orders and mentioned you’d stop using them temporarily.
Two days later, on April 23rd, the same flashing-order activity continued (twice that day), and then again on May 1 and May 6.
On May 7 (after 4 written warnings and continued alerts), we issued a permanent block. Even then, we gave you 7 days to withdraw any remaining profits before access was fully closed.
Enforcement isn’t fun. We’d much rather have kept you on the platform both as a trader and as an affiliate.
But CME compliance isn’t optional for us, and not acting on these alerts can put the live program at risk for everyone else.
The full timeline (alert IDs, timestamps, email records) is documented and on file with our compliance team.
