You know what? When there are terrorist attacks in the US by extremists I’d prefer that the same politicians and podcasters who egg them on with non stop inflammatory rhetoric and by endorsing Hamas rallies and who refuse to condemn phrases like “Globalize the intifada” and who blame everything on Jews don’t then try to act surprised or sympathetic when these attacks happen. It’s insulting and you’re not fooling anybody. I’d rather Mamdani be more like his wife who probably already smashed the like button a billion times and threw a party at Gracie Mansion. At least she owns it. Give me the straight forward hatred rather than the hypocrisy.

The attack on Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, Michigan is horrifying. My thoughts are with the congregation and all who are shaken by this act of antisemitic violence. I am continuing to closely monitor the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, the NYPD will continue to deploy high-visibility patrols to Jewish religious and cultural institutions across the five boroughs.

Yesterday, white supremacist Jake Lang organized a protest outside Gracie Mansion rooted in bigotry and racism. Such hate has no place in New York City. It is an affront to our city’s values and the unity that defines who we are. What followed was even more disturbing. Violence at a protest is never acceptable. The attempt to use an explosive device and hurt others is not only criminal, it is reprehensible and the antithesis of who we are. I want to thank the brave men and women of the NYPD who acted quickly to keep New Yorkers safe. Our officers ran toward danger without hesitation, demonstrating once again the courage and dedication it takes to protect this city every single day. My administration is closely monitoring the situation and I remain in close contact with our Police Commissioner.

Luton Airport in the UK has issued an apology and is overhauling its staff training after Jewish Israeli author Alon Penzel was detained and mistreated by antisemitic workers. Alon was carrying a sign featuring the name of his book, Testimonies Without Boundaries, Israel: October 7th 2023, for a promotional event, which airport guards told him was "offensive." The guard found it so offensive, in fact, that they called the police. Several airport security guards and two police officers rounded Alon up and interrogated him for 90 minutes. Now the airport is retraining its staff. Not sure why "treating Jews like human beings" wasn't part of training in the first place, but, hey, it's progress.

Dear @SpeakerMenin , let me get this straight. The mayor and his wife can engage in peddling Jihadi propaganda, like posts on Oct 7th of a Jihadi terrorist attack, fail to condemn calls for a Violent uprising inspired by Jihad (globalize intifada). But the problem is the Jew who is exercising his first amendment rights to speak truth to power? You condemned @sidrosenberg19 but you just can’t find the moral courage to do the same with the Mayor Mamdani and his wife…you go after Jewish citizens and not those in power endangering us. That will become your legacy as the first Jewish speaker, if you fail to challenge Mamdani and his wife Jihadi peddling and loving ideologies head on, without fear or apology. Enough is enough we Jews deserve real and strong and morally courageous representation.

CBS News verified that Duwaji “liked” one post from October 7, showing images of the attack and another one from the day after the attacks showing images of anti-Israel protests in New York City. When asked about the posts, Mamdani said his wife is a "private person who has held no formal position on my campaign or in my city hall."
