…a goal of collecting 30 fruits. They recover "health" by eating fruit, but lose all 6 and you have to start a new run. To finally beat it, I started exiting out when I lost a Yoshi. One successful run was enough for me, so there are tons of secrets and stages I won't ever see.

…didn't fully understand. What I was least prepared for, though, is that it's basically a roguelike. You pick your path through the game by choosing one of the unlocked stages per level, plus one of six Yoshis of varying colors and then proceed through the storybook stage with…

Mini-Review: Yoshi's Story (N64 on Analogue 3D) I was not prepared for Yoshi's Story. It's bizarre. They sing (off-key) between levels. Some of the characters they encounter look like they belong in Rayman. There are 6 levels with 4 possible stages, unlocked by doing things I…

@ChesterEugene Maybe one of these days then. I tend to do my gaming in my bedroom, which doesn't lend itself to the space required (I'm assuming) to really make use of VR. Plus, I worry about the visuals, since I need glasses to see stuff close up. It has always sounded cool, though.

@VGGenerations The PSVR 2 tech is just really good. When u fire a shotgun in RE Village it feels so different from a handgun because the haptics in the headset make you feel actual kick back. Because of the physical assertion, can only play VR a few hours at a time, but it's a good experience.

Mini-Review: The House of Da Vinci II (PS5 Pro) The first game in the trilogy wasn't on sale, so I jumped right into the sequel as I wrap up my recent Escape Room binge. This one is more about fiddly clockwork gadgets and less about looking around for clues, although there's…

@ChesterEugene I've never jumped into VR gaming, although my son has a Meta Quest 3 I think it's called. He used it a lot at first, but I doubt he's put it on in months. The only time I tried VR was on an Oculus pre-launch dev unit a friend of a friend had, and it made me horribly motion sick.

…out, or quickly walk (on rails) to another part of the room. Stubbornly, I refused to use the built-in hint system except for two or three times in chapter 4, and I found it gave me just the right nudge. There's also an interesting story in this one that I don't want to spoil.

…some of that too. The game has players turning dials and pulling levers to figure out the intricacies of puzzles and locks. It's another that doesn't offer full control of movement through each room, instead working in a Myst-like manner where you click things to zoom in or…

@_TheImpureKing_ I for sure buy and play what interests me. That’s why I enjoyed Forspoken, Days Gone, Biomutant, and even last year’s MindsEye. What soured me on CD wasn’t other people’s opinions - it was the key disc debacle. I’d like to check it out, but not for $76 if lacking on disc.

Don’t let game journalists/review scores dictate what games you’re willing to try. Be your own person and check out games that YOU think look fun. Not just the ones endorsed by those connected to the industry.

@SamaHoole After surviving a heart attack and going through the recovery after a triple bypass, I don't question the medication or need to know the numbers. It's simply something I dread ever having to experience again. They say take statins, I take statins.

Doctor: "Your cholesterol is high. I'd like to put you on a statin." Patient: "What does high cholesterol actually mean for my risk?" Doctor: "It increases your risk of a cardiac event." Patient: "By how much?" Doctor: "Significantly." Patient: "But how much, specifically?" Doctor: "Your LDL is elevated." Patient: "The absolute risk. What is it." Doctor: "Statins are very well studied." Patient: "I'd like the number." Doctor: "Some patients experience muscle pain, memory issues, and elevated blood sugar..." Patient: "That sounds like the treatment." Doctor: "These are rare." Patient: "What's the absolute risk reduction?" Doctor: "I have a leaflet." The leaflet is provided by the pharmaceutical company. The leaflet does not contain the absolute risk reduction.

@uscpsycho @UPS @amazon @AmazonHelp Yep, I've had that happen with multiple delivery services, including FedEx (claimed I wasn't home when delivering a TV, but didn't even bother to knock or ring the doorbell - just took a photo from the street and called it a day).

I had a @UPS pick up for a large item return to @amazon. UPS driver just rang the doorbell and ran away. No attempt to actually lick up the item! Had to pay for this pick up, so not happy.

Saw a physical release for Starfield on PS5 was announced. The game was 126GB’s on Series X upon release. I am expecting the PS5 copy to have one disc and require a download just like the Oblivion remake did.

Mini-Review: Empyreal (PS5 Pro) The best way to start a game without any expectations is to pick a game you've never heard of. Empyreal looked interesting, and it's billed as "a complex, challenging, feature-rich action RPG." There isn't a character progression system, but a…

@_Lunerim_ You have to just ignore that guy. He's just a clown, trying to compensate for something I guess. He's always posting nonsense like this, along with a few other high-profile grifters, and the only time I have to see his self-pandering drivel is when people repost it. LOL.

Im sorry to bring up negativity but being the biggest Lune fan ever, i have to speak up about a recent post made about her... Lune is perfect the way she is. She doesnt need a "tune up" even "a tiny bit". If you cant like her as much for her current design, then you dont understand her at all because every part of her design was made to fit the lore(yes, even her barefeet).
