JUST IN: Karmelo Anthony sentenced to 35 years in prison for murdering 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a high school track meet. Anthony will be eligible for parole halfway through his sentence. Inside the courtroom, Anthony's mother was reportedly sobbing as she begged for mercy on her son. The teen also broke down in tears inside the courtroom when he was convicted. Metcalf's aunt gave an impact statement where she described the call she received from her sister, Metcalf's mom. "As I drove to the hospital, I never believed Austin could be gone. The impact of his death is permanent."
