@BioDeclassified This is honestly the most annoying commentary right now. WTRC misses all over the place as an adaption, That argument, or the comparisons to RE7. I game I hated and think is the worst of the mainline games.

The discourse of “Why do they want a 1:1 adaption? They had Welcome to Raccoon City and hated it” is so BORING.
WTRC was NOT authentic in the slightest. It tried to do too much in one movie with a wafer thin budget and extremely bizarre arcs on established characters. To say that accuracy to the games was tried and fails is just S+ rank gaslighting.
I have no doubts ZC’s Resident Evil will be a fantastic horror flick, but not an authentic RE Film, which seems to be the consensus from the screen tests.

My friend is getting into Resident Evil and she hasn’t played a single one of them, she ended up just watching them on YouTube instead…

@DiscussingFilm I can’t get a read on this dude. He says he’s a fan of the games but was unwilling to use any of the core 4. I can’t imagine getting to do this and not immediately building it around my favorite character. Seems like he just wanted to make Dawn of the Dead 04.

I started Parasite Eve for the first time.
After playing 10 Resident Evil games back to back I thought it was time for something different, yet similar. I’m interested to see Square’s early take on horror.
I borrowed a PS3 and bought a digital copy just to have this experience.

@brown_brye81302 I like Remake 4 over the original but like original 2 over Remake 2. I think all 4 kick ass. Code Veronica could benefit the most of the franchise from a remake, and I hope it’s next. 0 follows closely behind CV.

@YungJunko Re2 is the best of the franchise imo. I like the RE Engine Remakes, I absolutely loved 9, but not playing Remake 02, RE2, and RE3 is a disservice to yourself.

As someone who just recently played through both the og Resident Evil 1 and 2 for the first time ever, seeing so much discourse painting them as some sort of ancient unplayable slog is so pathetic, especially when they're still so incredible and can be beaten in like 6 hours each
