Crimson Desert players found a trick that allowed them to fly by spamming the stab ability while airborne Pearl Abyss saw this exploit & instead of patching it, added a whole new animation, making it a real mechanic THIS is how you treat players right!

@NikTek Gameplay yes, I’d agree. A game shouldn’t be even in the conversation with GOTY and talk about graphics. That’s irrelevant af. A game of the year should be a game that pushes respected genres forward, innovative and exciting.

Crimson Desert world is so massive and diverse, it took John Linneman from Digital Foundry roughly 4 hours of traversal and exploration to go from the opening village to the desert. He also noted that he hasn't felt this need to explore since RDR2 and Breath of the Wild.

@Thilorian @NikTek The map is littered with side activities and in the distance is extremely well detailed from what I have seen

First concern right off the bat is: How empty is the map? If it took him 4 hours of traversal, that sounds good on paper, but there's a real danger that it's a lot of empty landscapes with no life, and the only "life" you see are in story-related areas with NPC guards doing the same two emotes to maybe stretch or shift weight from one foot to the other. It looks cool but will it be cool? No more pre-orders for me so looking forward to everyone else being my guinea pig. Too risky.
