These cases are some of the most brazen fraud you will see. Given a free pass by Trump. In some cases, fraudsters pardoned or granted commutations during his first term went on to commit Ponzi schemes again.
Kenneth P. Vogel@kenvogel

Trump has granted clemency to more than 70 people convicted in fraud cases. At the same time, he says he is waging a "war on fraud." Those granted clemency included allies & donors. Those targeted in the "war on fraud" include Somali & other immigrants. nytimes.com/2026/03/19/us/…

@WallStreetMav Fuck the “For You.” Nuke that shit. Just put in a long-form video column, a short-form video column, and a people-we-follow section with the ability to change topics when I'm sick of politics. And a region block—no more Africans, no more South Asians, no more Chinese.

X needs to weigh between showing a user "For You" vs "Followers" content. I understand why the "For You" is not exclusively from the people you follow. I simply think the balance has shifted too far towards the algorithm deciding, versus what we wanted to follow. I am fine with the "For You" feed, and I switch between that and "Following" sometimes. But "For You" is sometimes pushing things that are just 3rd world users gaming the system for $40 each two weeks. Maybe everyone from Pakistan, India and Nigeria needs to be demonetized to remove this issue?

🚨 Qatar-owned Georgetown University postdoctoral fellow/professor Badar Khan Suri, a non-citizen from India, was arrested by ICE for alleged ties to Hamas and promoting their propaganda after Oct 7. The Trump administration revoked his J-1 visa, alleging he was "actively spreading Hamas propaganda and promoting antisemitism on social media" and had "close connections to a known or suspected terrorist" linked to Hamas. His wife, Mapheze Saleh (a U.S. citizen and Georgetown graduate student), is the daughter of Ahmed Yousef, a former senior Hamas official and adviser to Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh. He delivers an Oscar-worthy performance, claiming that ICE abducted and “disappeared” him. Suri described his arrest by masked agents as an abduction and said he was "disappeared" during his transfer to detention facilities, where he was held for nearly two months in Texas without criminal charges. A federal judge ordered his release on bond in May 2025, citing potential violations of his First Amendment and due process rights. He was deemed deportable in immigration proceedings, but a partial settlement with the government in August 2025 allowed him to resume his employment at Georgetown while litigation over his deportation and free speech claims continues. As of early 2026, he remains in the U.S. and employed by the university amid ongoing legal battles.
