Backed by some recent gains, and understanding the macro ROI, LAD invested heavily in the 2025 payroll. It had nothing to do with betting on short-term health, or a championship specifically in ’25. It has everything to do with what they’re building on a multi-decade horizon, which I believe threatens to eventually pass the Yankees in valuation.
