The guy who was promoting himself with a helmet at the Olympics said that he was invited to the European Parliament. First the UN, now the European Parliament. This person raised almost a million dollars thanks to his helmet. Not a single cent was given to the families of the deceased athletes he was using for PR (they were depicted on the helmet). For a month, I urged him to transfer that money to the families of the deceased. In response, he only insulted me, called me a criminal, said my wife was a prostitute, and mocked my last name. That’s his level. In Ukraine, he was already dragged into parliament, and afterward the speaker of parliament apologized in closed Telegram groups where lawmakers communicate, for bringing this idiot in. The whole country either laughs at him or finds him irritating. They are trying to promote him in the media, oligarchs are pouring money into him, but people don’t accept him. It’s just pure hate. Yet the European Parliament urgently needs to hear this pseudo-athlete who didn’t win anything, but managed to promote himself and make money from it. Who paid the European Parliament for this “invitation”? I suppose the EU should now set up some kind of fund so this failed athlete-PR guy can make money off my taxes as well. Do you really have nowhere else to spend taxpayers’ money? The European Parliament consumes billions of euros simply by existing, even though for the most part it’s unclear what it’s even needed for. Why are you embarrassing yourselves like this? You’ve already humiliated Europe beyond measure, and even the European press is writing about it. And now, for a bribe, you’re dragging this clown in there?

I’m highly suspicious of Joe Kent, his resignation distancing himself from the war and then going on a podcast press tour is just odd to me. Maybe he’s attempting to exonerate himself but it doesn’t sit right with me. I hope he saying and doing what he is for the right reasons but he was one of crew last week, we’ve been making these mistakes and he’s known what he has for a while.

Today is Norooz, the Persian New Year. This clip is from the last normal Iranian Norooz in 1979. The Great Shah of Iran, HIH Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and HIH Queen Farah Pahlavi sent what would be their final Norooz well wishes.   It was the last time Iranians freely celebrated Norooz, bringing artists on stage and dancing.   The regime took that away from us for 47 years.
