For over a decade, we Iranians watched Western countries, Arab regimes, and their Israeli enablers stand by as our economy was deliberately crushed under the weight of America’s illegal sanctions and maximum pressure campaign. We watched them eagerly comply with policies designed to destroy our nation, shatter our lives, crush our dreams, bankrupt our businesses, rot our infrastructure, devalue our currency, and cut us off from normal trade and economic relations with the world. We watched European leaders pathetically nod in satisfaction and offer pathetic lip service as Trump declared the JCPOA a “bad deal,” using it as cover for the most brutal campaign against our people—fully aware that scrapping the deal was nothing more than his sick, twisted obsession with erasing his predecessor’s legacy. We watched U.S. officials and their Israel lobby handlers proudly parade before Congress, armed with figures and statistics, boasting how their vicious policies had tanked our currency, spiked unemployment, sent inflation soaring, and inflicted trillions of dollars in damage on our already strained economy. We watched them cheer these results and laugh at the shattered lives of millions of human beings. We watched them dutifully support the first Trump administration’s sadistic policies—even during the COVID pandemic—when his criminal Secretary of State moved heaven and earth to block Iran from securing even a meager $5 billion IMF loan, while their own governments freely spent hundreds of billions to protect their populations from the same virus. We watched them shamelessly endorse Israel’s attacks on our territory under the obscene slogan “Israel has the right to defend itself,” while branding Iran’s legitimate self-defense as “recklessness” and demanding that our government refrain from “escalation.” We watched them applaud the assassination of our war veterans and heroes, our scientists, and our brightest minds - all in the name of “non-proliferation” - while they kept their mouths tightly shut about Israel’s nuclear arsenal and expansionist agenda. We watched them, openly or in private, urging more pressure, more destruction, more assassinations, and more war. All of it justified by the ludicrous and baseless claim that Iran seeks nuclear weapons—a lie they knew was false. They were fully aware that the enrichment levels and constraints Iran had accepted under the JCPOA, and during subsequent negotiations for a new deal, made militarization impossible. They invented excuse after excuse to engineer our destruction, and they laughed while ensuring the pain was ours alone. But things have changed. Iran will no longer stand by and watch its own destruction while others nod, cheer and laugh. They will not be laughing anymore. This time, we will not be the only ones who feel pain. We will no longer tolerate unilateral sanctions and destruction. We may die standing—but this time, we will all be in same boat.

When this is over, the western part of NATO will never be the same. Spain, England, France and Italy have sold us out, as they too often have a history of doing. Eastern European nations are the heart of NATO. They spend money on defense, know how to fight and love the US. France particularly deserves fault and blame. From supporting China and Russia at the UN to denying Americans overflight rights, they’re doing what they’ve always done - showing weakness, while cutting deals with terrorists. (The reason the US has a Marine Corps and Navy is unlike France, we refused to pay a ransom to the Barbary Pirates. France is always happy to cut a deal.) Wars have unintended consequences as nations show their true colors. NATO will never be the same, and Western European weakness and acquiescence is the cause.

The main issue: launching a war against Iran is foolish due to Iran’s ability to shut down the SOH, the effect that has on the economy, our alliances in the Gulf & the strength of the petrodollar etc. We could have contained Iran w/Sanctions & CT strikes (like Solmani) & let the regime organically collapse overtime or negotiated. Attacking Iran directly has only emboldened the regime & the hardliners. This war only benefits Israel, as their goal is to create chaos within Iran so the regime can’t pose a threat to Israel. Israel needs us to lead these efforts because they lack the military capability but also so we value the intel they give us on Iran. America at war with Iran increases the value of Intel on Iran that Israel provides, this is the commodity Israel deals in. We do not benefit from this war & are losing our standing in the world because of it.

This is deliberate misinformation. It's a tell that you can't argue these points honestly. 1) Enrichment is the most important step for developing nuclear weapons. Always has been. The focus on enrichment has/had nothing to do with Israel. Even the Obama nuclear deal was centered on enrichment levels. No one actually believes that the fatwa, which no one has seen, was anything but a public misinformation tool from a regime that lies about almost everything. While they moved the program underground in 2004, there has been overwhelming evidence since 2004, including published documents, that the regime has an active nuclear weapons program, so you would have to pretend like all of these regime officials and scientists were actively ignoring the fatwa to seriously cite it. Specifically on the enrichment point: It was an IAEA report, hardly a pro-Israel entity, last February, that determined the regime had increased its stockpile of 60% enriched uranium by 50% in a period of 4-6 months. Enough highly enriched uranium to make 7 nuclear bombs. There is no civilian purpose for enriching uranium at that level, and they are the only non-nuclear state in the world to be doing so. It doesn't take a genius to connect the dots. That's what led to the strikes last year. Neither the regime nor you can explain why they were developing highly enriched uranium clearly meant for a bomb if they weren't planning to or allowed to build a bomb. 2) Nuclear weapons, while the biggest issue, were never the only concern for Trump or his administration. Trump didn't take out Soleimani because of nuclear weapons, but because he had organized a massive terror proxy network that was consistently destabilizing the region, and encouraging terror attacks in the Gulf, the United States, and Europe. It's a tell that you guys continually leave out how the Gulf states also view the Islamic Republic as the key threat and actively are supporting efforts to degrade the regime because it's inconvenient to the "this is all about Israel" narrative. It's the UAE, more than anyone, that wants the war to continue until there is regime change. Yet no one claims that Trump is being controlled by them or the Saudis (because he is not). Trump has also seen the evidence that the Islamic Republic has actively planned to assassinate him since Soleimani. And while you can push conspiracies about that, it doesn't change the facts that they have an active assassination program that has repeatedly targeted Americans. Or that they are responsible for thousands of American troop deaths, which many Americans have never forgotten. Their ballistic missile and terror proxy programs are also major threats. The big knock on JCPOA, which is why Trump left it, was that it didn't address those issues, so it let the Islamic Republic terrorize everyone without consequences. They refused to put those on the table in the recent negotiation. The "Death to America" Islamic Republic has been fighting a proxy war targeting Americans since 1979. We have been focused on responding to the proxies and simply playing defense the whole time. They built up terror proxies and an extensive ballistic missile program as protection to allow them to continue the covert and one-sided war, but those protections have been severely degraded since 10/7, thanks to Israel. Trump made the call that now was the time to stop playing defense and take on the head of the snake to permanently put an end to that war. You might disagree with the timing or his decision, but that doesn't change the context or that he himself made it.

Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders living lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of deceased Iranian Major General Qasem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime who celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the "Great Satan." This week, I terminated both Afshar and her daughter's legal status and they are now in ICE custody, pending removal from the United States. The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

A true display of American strength would be NOT taking the escalation bait. Don’t double down on failure by committing ground troops & increasing air strikes. Show the world we can still lead by restraining Israel & negotiating w/Iran to open Hormuz, restoring order is power.

Nigeria is ranked #1 in global USDT and USDC ownership. Not the US. Not the UK. Not Singapore. Nigeria. 59% of Nigerian crypto users hold USDT. 48% hold USDC. More than any other country surveyed. India is third. Brazil close behind. The reason is obvious once you see it: in countries where local currency loses 20–40% of value annually, stablecoins aren't a crypto product. They're a savings account. A dollar-denominated store of value that doesn't require a US bank account. Here's what the data doesn't show: most of those stablecoin holders can't use their USDT to buy anything. No merchant acceptance. No subscription billing. No automatic payment. No way to pay a supplier. They hold the dollars. They can't spend the dollars. They convert back to fiat every time they need to transact. The gap between stablecoin adoption and stablecoin utility is most visible not in San Francisco or Singapore. It's in Lagos, Jakarta, São Paulo. $308B in circulation. The people who need stablecoin commerce most have the fewest tools to access it. That's not a distribution problem. That's an infrastructure problem. The rails exist everywhere. The billing layer doesn't exist anywhere. That's who we're building for.

The Iranians have to be governed by the nerdiest regime of all time. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting an Iranian leader who has written a book on Aristotle, Kant, Farabi, etc. Therefore, in order to foster constructive diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic, the State Department should consider deploying the United States' own emergency Strategic Straussian Reserve of political philosophers. Before engaging Iran on ending the war, re-opening the Strait of Hormuz, signing mutual nonaggression pacts, and examining the future of sanctions, American political philosophers should engage the Iranians on the real issues at stake such as: -Resolving the theological-political question in both Western and Islamic contexts. -Developing a shared textual hermeneutic. -Addressing the connection between instrumental reason, technology, and modernity. We need to speak a language the Iranians understand. We need to transform these negotiations into a graduate seminar. @StateDept @SecRubio

The Army Chief of Staff, a combat veteran with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, asked Pete Hegseth why he was blocking the promotions of two Black officers and two female officers who had earned them. Hegseth refused to answer. Then he fired him. Nine U.S. officials told NBC News that Hegseth has blocked or delayed promotions for more than a dozen Black and female senior officers across all four branches of the military. Hegseth has now fired or sidelined more than a dozen generals and admirals. He is an out-of-control, unqualified former TV host and nobody in the Republican Party will say a word about it because they don’t want to make Trump angry. nbcnews.com/politics/natio…
