@vzmercogliano Does this team realize they cant draft? Picks are worthless if its bust after bust. Fox traded for his rights, mika traded for him, troch FA, panarin FA, gavrikov FA, only drafted talent is off the team or goaltenders. I mean whats the fucking plan.

Interesting question a couple people have posed to me: If the #NYR decide to trade Trocheck (my early sense is they’ll gauge the market on pretty much everyone without a NMC), when is the best time to maximize his value?
Trade deadline when contenders will be desperate for centers but any pick coming back will likely be late in the first round? Or wait until the summer when they can target teams with higher picks?
My thought is it depends on the quality of the prospect(s) attached to said pick, but they have the option to wait since he’s under contract for three more seasons. You can be sure the asking price will be 📈
