Agent commerce right now is like ecommerce in the 90s. Convenience will continue to compound into more delegation, increasing adoption at an exponential rate across both organizational and individual levels. At the same time the SaaS competitive landscape is rapidly evolving due to vibecoding. We're going to see a lot more alternatives to bigger platforms, offering cheaper services / API access. Agents will optimize for autonomy and more efficient operations. Crypto will provide the rails for permissionless global settlement. The question is: what asset(s) will they settle in? My thesis is that they will trust math over everything. That means definitely not centralized stables which can freeze/blacklist. For true autonomy they won't even want decentralized fiat peg alternatives. A system anchored to fiat inherits fiats failure modes. They'll want resistance to inflation, stability through mechanism design, denominated in its own economic reality. No offchain dependencies, no issuers, no custodians, no discretionary intervention, no external guarantees. Fully onchain, decentralized, permissionless, unstoppable.

Today, the Foundation’s Board released the EF Mandate. This document, which was first intended for EF members, reaffirms the promise of Ethereum, and the role of EF within this ecosystem.

folks are so obsessed with the "institutionalisation" of Ethereum, trying to drag it into the same exact cages as the old financial system. I fucking reject that guys. Being _and_ staying the outsider is Ethereum's power move, not a liability. Anything that snuggles up to entrenched institutions inherits their rules, their incentives, their surveillance. Look around guys, some chains are already suffocating under it. Ethereum must thrive beyond those walls: permissionless to join, independent, and fearless (this is probably the most important trait these days). Ethereum will win _because_ it refuses to play by their rules.

Most crypto users hold 100% of their stablecoins in USD. The problem is the dollar's down ~10% against the euro since January 2025. If you're outside the US, your "stable" coins are quietly bleeding purchasing power. So it might be a good idea to diversify your stables so you're not completely exposed to USD. Here are a few non-USD stables gaining traction onchain: • $EURC → The most widely used euro stablecoin. ~€393M in circulation, fully backed by euro reserves, MiCA compliant. Yields at ~2.6% on Aave (ETH) and ~2.9% on Fluid (Base). • $EURcv → Issued by Societe Generale–FORGE. Full reserve backing, strong compliance focus. Built for institutional use cases. A major European bank putting its name on a stablecoin is a signal worth watching. • $VCHF → Onchain Swiss franc exposure. Issued under Liechtenstein's regulatory framework. Hold CHF denominated stable liquidity and deploy it across trading, lending, or DeFi strategies. These aren't replacing dollar stables. But tariffs, rate cuts, inflation, elections. Macro is a mess and nobody knows where it's heading. You can't predict the future. You can hedge against it. For the first time, you can actually do that with stablecoins.

Today, the SDNY prosecutors filed a letter to Judge Failla requesting a retrial date. They want to go again in October. The prosecutors want to retry me on 2 counts the jury couldn't unanimously decide on. A jury of 12 Americans heard 4 weeks of evidence and deadlocked: no verdict on money laundering, and no verdict on sanctions violations. The government's response? Try again to make writing code a crime. @realDonaldTrump declared the "War on Crypto is over." 🇺🇸 AG @DAGToddBlanche's memo: DOJ "is not a digital assets regulator" and won't target mixers for end-user acts. @USTreasury lifted Tornado Cash sanctions entirely. ✅ Also Treasury, March 2026: "Lawful users of digital assets may leverage mixers to enable financial privacy." — official report to Congress under the GENIUS Act. But the SDNY prosecutors — same country, same DOJ — just filed to retry me anyway. 🤔 ⠀ The 2 counts = up to 40 years in federal prison. ⛓️ For writing open-source code. For a protocol I don't control. For transactions I never touched. A jury already couldn't agree this was criminal. But the SDNY prosecutors want to keep trying with the hope of getting a different answer. ⠀ I have a daughter. I have a life in Seattle. I will never stop fighting for freedom. ❤️ But I need to be honest with you: Four weeks of trial. A hung jury. Now they want to do it all over again in October. I have basically exhausted my legal defense funds. And I'm staring down another full federal trial. 😔 Every dollar raised goes directly to keeping this fight alive — attorneys, experts, the full defense apparatus it takes to stand up to the SDNY prosecutors. This isn't abstract. If I can't fund a defense, they win by default. If you care about financial privacy, if you write code and believe that code is speech — this is the moment. 💻🔐 👇

astralcodexten.com/p/mantic-monda… @slatestarcodex is making a great case for prediction markets being useful as an intellectual tool to help us understand the world and the possible near futures better. I would love to see prediction market projects doing more to optimize for this direction (esp more conditional markets).

We have all been sold a lie, the modern economy is fake, because the money is fake. You can have all the money in the world believing you have power { but they can devalue all of it at will, they can lock you out of the system } Build the new money, or place your bet on it.

People in the U.S. don’t realize that in many countries, your money could just be taken out of your bank account or become worthless. Crypto matters because it gives people the opportunity to escape these situations and truly own their money.

Controlled peg stables like RAI and HAI are the cypherpunk endgame. Fiat is a social contract enforced by violence. Controlled peg money is a market equilibrium enforced by incentives. Just math adjusting the redemption rate and the market doing the rest.
