@Binusz Fork looks for Claude at "/opt/homebrew/bin/claude", "/usr/local/bin/claude" or "~/.local/bin/claude". Contact us by email if you have a problem.

@BrabenetzHarald @mloskot @GitHubDesktop 1. The user identity fields are optional. 2. Fully-peeled refs format is the default for a very long time. Run ´git gć to fix this. Non-peeled refs were deprecated ~15 years ago. 3. The website always has a link to the latest *stable* version

Tried @git_fork today and uninstalled it after just one hour. It silently overwrote my global .gitconfig without asking - dealbreaker. On top of that: • Immediate exception: "read packed refs: validate header: Unsupported packed-refs format. Missing 'fully-peeled' header" • Downloaded latest 2.15.4 from the website, only to get prompted for 2.16 (released 4 days earlier) Trial-Users shouldn’t get frustrated this fast. Maybe I’ll try again in a few years if git-fork is still around.

@git_fork is a great Git GUI client! Offers quite a lot and feels easy at the same time (but not as dumb as the @GitHubDesktop where one can not even choose remote :)) Questions: Where do you save the user/email? Does Fork use global ~/.gitconfig or per repo .git/config at all?

我用 Fork 好多年了，大多都是在 Windows 上用，以前在 Mac 上都是用 Tower。用过 Tower 后，当我再回到 Windows 上看那个简陋到可怜的 TortoiseGit 时，就无法接受了。最终找到了 Fork，就这么一直用着了，也没觉得多丑——直到昨晚我在 Mac 上安装了 Fork，那精美程度秒杀Win版！Mac还是太美了。 静态的截图还看不太出来那种精致感，交互时的感受更明显。感觉 Windows 是那种粗犷的苏联风，以能用为主，不讲究美观。而 Mac 则是兼顾了好用和美观。 如果不是个臭打游戏的，或者要用一些 Windows 上特有的软件，确实没什么理由继续用 Windows 了。现在 Mac mini 也不贵，以前嘲讽说 Mac 的内存是金子做的，现在 Windows 也是金子做的了，所以没差了。😂

@git_fork I ran into an issue: my Node version is clearly around 20, but when I use Claude code, it tells me my Node version is below 18 I don’t know why this is happening

macOSでのGitクライアントにForkを使ってるけど、メモリリークしてるのかメモリ566GBとか使い出すので (単位がおかしい)、ほかのツールに切り替えたい。 (コマンドラインも使うけど) メモリ128GBもあるマシンなのにメモリ不足になるのがおかしい

@git_fork Trying to prepare some unstaged changes in order to check whether stashing via the toolbar performs any better than stashing via right-click, but now I'm being held hostage by "Apply Stash" 🫠 five minutes and counting, Cancel button disabled here, too.

@git_fork Could the performance of `git stash` be improved, especially on Windows? It holds my computer hostage for 10+ minutes (with the "Cancel" button disabled) if I stash anything more than a small number of small-sized files. Thanks!

@callum_codes Fork! It’s nice because it supports the full range of git features, and its slightly romantic because it’s a husband and wife team and one does Windows and the other does Mac 😃

If you use git and you don't use interactive rebase you're missing out.

ForkがLFSあるとクラッシュするからこれならSourceTreeとかコマンドでgit触ったほうが良いんじゃないかと思い始めてる 一応買ってる製品だからなんとかなるとありがたいけどどうにかならんか
