@lorxell Bc they needed a way for the plot to focus on taking out soldier boy instead of homelander. Character wise, it means butcher would rather let things escalate and fight instead of talking things out, which could come from being victim of physical abuse from his dad

This the boys scene when Ryan defends his father. Soldier boy hits Ryan, making him unconscious. Butcher then stops Soldier Boy from blasting Homelander because of Ryan. Now what I feel weird is that why does Butcher decide to fight Soldier Boy afterwards? I get the first strike was to stop Soldier Boy from killing Ryan. But then why continue fighting soldier boy when Ryan is unconscious already?

It's really funny to see people fondly looking back to the season 3 finale of The Boys because it's just awful. Extremely rushed, every choice characters make makes zero sense, and it fails to give payoff for the season you just watched; making it feel worthless in retrospect

@AbaiGiven84044 His reaction speed doesnt scale to atrain. If it did then he would have just lasered him, bc his ramped up lasers are faster than atrain But since atrain is able to consistently aimdodge the lasers that means he cant react to him. Its only his travel speed thats relative 😏

People saying Homelander is faster than a train are funny. If that were true, he wouldn’t consistently react after everything already happens in scenes like the A-Train arrival or the Hughie rescue situation. His reaction timing doesn’t match the speed people claim he has.

The Boys was great when the Supes had their strengths and weaknesses. A-Train had super speed but a dodgy heart. Translucent's skin was bulletproof but his insides weren't. Sage was the smartest person in the world but she longed to just zone out to trash TV and had to lobotomise herself to do so. The Deep was master of the ocean but on land, his gills were a weakness point... and his stupidity. This meant The Boys could have a plan to stop them, or a convenient way to have the Supe out of action, without just rewriting powers to suit the plot.

@Teslimatttt He hired her directly, he was her way into the seven to gain influence and get close to homelander. If she was alive for a bit longer she prolly would have killed him.

Why did Stormfront tolerate Stan Edgar and willingly work under him?

@Superherotalk18 Weak supes getting blasted=death. Strong supes getting blasted=depowered. There is also a varying level of power with each blast given by how much emotion or control is going into it. Ryan at the time was prolly just way weaker than in s5

The way the blast works after this episode, butcher could’ve just let Soldier Boy do it in the season 3 finale and Ryan still would’ve lived

@tunechistark It’s establishing that his crusade in Becca’s name is hollow and not actually a noble venture. That is literally the entire point of Butcher’s arc. He’s not a good person. And despite beating the audience over the head with it people still misunderstand it.
