Piastri and Leclerc held position (and gap) for the entire race
B) Norris is only behind Hamilton because of an SC
C) Piastri was not managing tyres optimally. You can see the decline in telemetry & Norris radio

@hipp0squared @wearetherace Piastri was over 2s ahead from 40-50, that's not fighting anyone. Hamilton on the Hards completely shat the bed in lap times after lap 40, Hamilton fell into Norris, Norris didn't catch up to Hamilton. Norris failing to overtake a slow Hamilton ruined the potential in his race.

So Leclerc being on similar pace to Oscar is not a knock on Piastri, but Norris being faster than Hamilton is a knock on Norris?

@MaximusCockburn @wearetherace Also absolutely crazy to say that external factors don’t affect your rating of results. A less extreme version of saying p3 in a merc and p3 in an alpine are similarly impressive.

Him missing important practice data and laps does not mean he has a better weekend, he wouldn't have a good weekend if he was working through a cold at the same time.
