Perhaps @CBSNews should send someone to ask people like @SenAmyKlobuchar, @SenSchumer, @SenatorDurbin and the rest of the @SenateDems why as ELECTED REPRESENTATIVES they are working against the people? Exact national totals aren't tracked, as most states don't record offenders' immigration status. Best data (Texas, only comprehensive source): Undocumented immigrants had lower homicide conviction rates than natives—2.2 vs 3.0 per 100k (2013-2022, Cato Institute). Assault arrest rates also lower (PNAS/NIJ studies 2012-2018). No evidence of disproportionate killings or assaults by undocumented since 2020; multiple analyses (academic/gov) show immigrants commit violent crimes at lower rates per capita than US-born. High-profile cases exist on both sides but aren't the full picture.

Someone is dying in ICE custody every week, if not more frequently. This is a crisis.

Lisa Murkowski has been on the Senate floor for over ten minutes. As a member of the GOP, she's doing an EXCELLENT job of advocating for the SAVE America Act… oh wait... no, she's not. She's explaining why it's apparently TOO HARD to overcome logistical and geographical issues because of sled dogs and other things far less important than our nation's sovereignty. The amount of effort these people put into opposing something as simple as voter ID is astronomical and only proves how afraid they are.

This will be swept under the rug because she’s on the “right side.”
