What a pathetic, useless Senate GOP we have. The same crew that spent the last four years being completely ineffective while Democrats passed their radical agenda and torched the country. Now, with full Republican control of the White House and Senate and a clear mandate from President Trump, they’re right back to their favorite hobby: doing nothing, collecting a fat paycheck, and heading home early. The video is public. The charging documents are public. Rep. LaMonica McIver is seen in the middle of the confrontation making physical contact with federal officers. Federal prosecutors allege she struck officers with her forearms and interfered with their duties, resulting in multiple federal charges. She has pleaded not guilty, argues she was performing legitimate congressional oversight, and says the prosecution is politically motivated. That’s what courts are for. If any ordinary citizen had been accused of physically interfering with federal officers under similar circumstances, they would likely face the same legal process.
