North is Nigeria’s greatest asset, I will transform region if elected – Obi dailynigerian.com/north-is-niger…

“The level of Iranian program that’s been set back and the defense forces that have been set back, that’s real,” says Iranian-American analyst Ray Takeyh. “It will take a long time for Iran to recover from 13,000 American strikes on their targets and the decapitation of many of their critical leaders.”

Hezbollah dragged Lebanon into the war, but Israel’s right to defend itself does not justify inflicting such massive destruction. Israeli strikes killed hundreds last night, making it hard to argue that such heavy-handed actions fall within self-defence. Israeli actions are putting the U.S.-Iran ceasefire under severe strain. The Iran truce should extend to Lebanon. Hezbollah must disarm. The EU supports Lebanon’s efforts to disarm Hezbollah.

Kwakwanso miscalculated, like I use to say Notherners aren’t good politicians, they don’t know how to play politics look at all their politicians and how they’ve been making avoidable mistakes, from Buhari, to Malami, El-rufai, Atiku, Kwakwanso……I still wonder why southern politicians pander to them, Now if you really want to finish them finally as a region just remove the ability of them using Islam in their politics and societal structure rather good governance, good systems and populace welfare…..this is what southern politicians needs to be saying anytime they go to the North to campaign, no allow their mind touch ground….they think they have the population, what you need to sell to their people is that you have better ideologies……The north is feeble, the only reason you let them think they’re almighty is because you pander instead of challenging them, Southerners are better than Northerners in every ramifications of life and na full mouth I use take talk am.

The President of the United States is threatening to commit war crimes and wipe out a "whole civilization" — all because he started a disastrous war of his own making and had no plan and no strategy for how to end it. This is abhorrent, and the American people do not support this. Trump's recklessness is needlessly putting our brave service members in harm's way, destroying America's global standing, and making life even more unaffordable for the American people. We must all stand against this and oppose funding this illegal war of choice.

Madman Theory? Trump got summits with “little rocket man” Kim Jong Un last time around, but never in all my years reporting America at war have I heard anything like this: an American president threatens to destroy a “whole civilization” and says it’ll take 100 years to rebuild. Striking Tehran’s Grand Bazaar, Israel warning people to avoid trains and stations, Trump threatening whole power grids, desalination plants, the nation’s bridges… Is this war still against the Iranian regime or now against a whole people?

Tinubu influenced Ige to accept the offer? Tinubu was reported to have voted against Bola Ige at the caucus primaries, citing Ige's support for Funsho Williams as the reason. Curiously, Wahab Dosunmu, who made Ige support Williams, also didn't vote for Ige.

Lots of people are losing their shit because Trump called the Iranian leadership "crazy bastards" and said "praise be to Allah" on Easter Sunday To me this doesn't bother me at all. Trump has always been unfiltered However, what worries me greatly is the threat: "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day" This is civilian infrastructure; causing civilian harm to achieve military objectives That's not ok. I know the closure of the Strait of Hormuz is terrible for the global economy, putting Trump in a corner, but the solution is not causing harm to civilians, the same civilians Trump praised in January and promised to support during the protests These threats constitute a crime under international humanitarian law: Article 51: “The civilian population as such, as well as individual civilians, shall not be the object of attack.” Article 48: "Parties shall at all times distinguish between the civilian population and combatants… and accordingly shall direct their operations only against military objectives.” For the sake of the Iranian people, I urge Iran's leadership to accept some concessions to end the war soon, and I urge Trump not to deliver on his threats

@inecnigeria cannot be unmoved by what's going on in ADC because there's a big possibility that both factions will submit names for the elections. When that happens, they will be forced to go back to previous court judgements to ascertain which is the valid factions. The Akpabio case you are referring to, is in the situation that someone who is not in a political party is complaining about how the winner of an election emerged as a candidate of the party that presented them. Essentially, it means a PDP member or INEC cannot argue that the winner of a general election is not a valid winner because they didn't like the process APC used in selecting him as a candidate. That Akpabio judgement preserved the power of a political party to choose who represents them. It is consistent with the move made by PDP In 2007, when your old party, decided it will not present a candidate for the Imo state governorship election despite Ifeanyi Ararume winning validly held primaries. It was the party's prerogative to field or not to field candidates, as per our 1999 constitution. However, when parties have divisions which will affect determining which faction can authentically produce candidates, then INEC will be forced to follow whatever judgements the courts have determined with respect to that party. It is particularly insightful to know that the constitution created a loophole for politicians to decamp when there is division in their party, to avoid situations like this, which the PDP has used to their advantage many times in the past. But as Asiwaju said in his speech last year at the national assembly, it is joyful "to watch you guys in such disarray".
