Pearland ISD students, what is happening here with your PTA at Glenda Dawson High School posting about Ramadan? This is a LOT of information for a PUBLIC SCHOOL OFFICIAL PTA to post about a particular religion and it’s practices. I don’t see similar posts done by this PTA explaining Christian or Jewish religious holidays and their fasting and prayer practices…at least not this school year. Many Christians fast during Lent for example. Many Jews fast during Yom Kippur. Neither holiday was mentioned by the PTA on this FB page. Why is that? Remember, our tax dollars are NOT supposed to promote a particular religion in a PUBLIC SCHOOL. Does this post cross that line? And if so, why was it done?
