@CorbinSmithNFL It’s equality vs equity. Flat tax is equality. Same percentage for everyone, but differing impact. Equity is differing percentages, but ensuring everyone gets the same experience.

I've never been rich and I never will be. But why should someone who has been successful and earned more money have to pay a higher percentage?

@CorbinSmithNFL Corbin, I’m always defending you but this is a bad take. Flat taxes are regressive & disproportionately effect low/middle income earners. A progressive tax system is not only a necessity, but fair. If you reap more benefits from the system, you should pay more into the system.

I have a really dumb question: Why can't we just have a flat tax rate for every person? And get rid of the stupid deductions, etc? Just have everyone pay the same rate in the U.S.?
