Russians can no longer pay for Netflix and Spotify with their bank cards, they also can no longer use Apple pay or Google pay. Before we get rid of cash and go fully down this path, it's worth thinking both about the fragility of the system, and who can turn it off and on.

@g_ferri @amateurcities Those bare definitely interesting practices, but I often have the feeling they are most attractive to designers themselves. It would be really interestign to see if they could grow more popular. In a way the mitigation of shock was aiming to achieve that @Superflux

@mirias @ethel_baraona @amateurcities definitely a difficult question, as all valuable alternatives seem to be swollowed up by neoliberal capitalism in the end, but we are in a very peculiar moment where these ideas have a great chance to gain more importance and perhaps eventually shift balance.
