@rud_dudd I honestly can’t believe they just forgot about @arcinternet for mobile.

@maxkarpis I hope Australia will be this year some time. Makes sense as the RBA said that the license was conditional on the UK

@AviciMoney Ah, I actually built this for a now defunct company 4 years ago. Good times

@maxkarpis Same thing happens in Australia with the PayID service. When you type in the number and click send, it autofills the receivers name. Normally their first initial and full last name.

Recently launched Irish Zippay users are reporting privacy concerns. Reportedly, when you enter any Irish phone number, you can see the partial name of the account holder (e.g., "Jo** Smi**" for John Smith) and partial bank account details.
Can anyone from Ireland share any screenshots of the service?

SCOOP: Revolut quietly rolls out RevTag integration with Apple Wallet, making payments simpler and potentially A Game-Changer!
Revolut now lets some customers in Mexico and Japan add their RevTag (user handle, e.g., @user) + local bank details straight to Apple Wallet as a digital pass.
No more fumbling for account numbers during bill splits or P2P payments.
Key Highlights:
What It Does: Creates a shareable Wallet pass showing your RevTag, branch code, account number, and bank code (or CLABE in Mexico).
Why It's Cool: Perfect for quick shares – think group dinners, freelance gigs, or even "playing shop". Works for Revolut users or anyone via bank transfers.
Rollout Details: Popped up in early 2026 app updates, starting in #Japan and #Mexico, where Revolut offers localised accounts. No announcement or any details yet - Revolut is in stealth mode. Let's call this thing RevTag v A Pay then.
How to Use: In the app, go to your profile/RevTag section, tap "Add to Apple Wallet," and boom – it's there for easy access and sharing.
This isn't your standard Apple Pay card add-on (that's for spending). It's a fresh twist on receiving funds, making P2P transfers smoother.
Big deal? Absolutely, I think it's the first of its kind for Apple Wallet. Correct me if I am wrong. Revolut and Apple Wallet are blending global usernames with local banking details.
No NFC payments here, yet, but it's a smart info card, an alternative to QR codes.
What Could This Become?
Imagine it evolving into a full NFC-enabled payment feature that bypasses card networks or allows tap-to-request funds, or integrates QR code scanning directly into the pass.
With Revolut's global push, could this set the new standard for borderless, frictionless money moves – disrupting how we share and receive worldwide?
This could be the beginning of something huge.
As always, follow me for independent Revolut insights, news & analysis.

In my case it's 109.99GBP for UK account.
