I’ll say it again, I don’t know how we can function as a country when half of the voters think a Republican losing the mayoral race in LA is evidence of a conspiracy or widespread corruption. Would anybody on the left respond this way if e.g. AOC lost the gubernatorial race in Oklahoma? We can’t function in a world where one of the major parties thinks elections are only legitimate when they win.

The conditions inside Delaney Hall are horrendous. What’s happening inside that facility is medical abuse. People with chronic health conditions are not being treated, and their conditions are only getting worse. It’s time to shut down Delaney Hall and rein in ICE.

After being denied access for weeks, I was finally allowed into Delaney Hall – but what I received was a closely controlled and limited tour of the facility. That is unacceptable. I was not allowed to meet or speak directly with the detainees, which continues to raise serious questions about the real conditions of the facility and the treatment of those held there. I will continue to push to speak with the detainees directly. They deserve to be heard and the public deserves answers.
