No other country in the Middle East matches this overall combination of capabilities. These practical benefits make the relationship one of the closest the US has.

Yes, the US has followed Pres. Theodore Roosevelt’s advice with Iran. “Speak softly and carry a big stick.” Negotiations appeared to be done in good faith, while assuring overwhelming force can be used. I think the speaking softly part is pretty much over. Now is time for the big stick part.

If Palestine is a state—as France, UK, Spain, Norway, Canada and most others now recognize—then those in Gaza cannot be refugees from Palestine while living in Palestine. They are home. It's time to end UNRWA. Invest in homes, jobs, schools and opportunity. Build Gaza's future.
