@BillAckman Directionally I don't disagree but where do you think all the migrants are coming from? And what triggered their migration in the first place...?

Europe is on a path to destroying itself. Unchecked immigration of millions of immigrants that burden their welfare states, bring violence and terrorism to their shores, and take over local governance, one city at a time. Anti-capitalist policies that make it difficult for businesses to adapt their workforces to a rapidly changing competitive environment now accelerating due to AI. A business environment and tax regime that is antithetical to startups. The absence of any progress or innovation in AI and limited access to the compute necessary to compete. Energy dependence due to the green movement at a moment when energy demands are rapidly increasing. And now, the abandonment of the U.S. when we have asked for limited assistance — base access and flyover rights — in the midst of our efforts to eliminate Iran’s nuclear and ballistic threat which is already within striking range of Europe, after we have invested nearly $200 billion in helping Ukraine. NATO is about to be toast. Europe’s defense burden is about to rise massively while their economies continue to fall further and further behind. In short, Europe needs to wake up before it is too late, and it may very well be too late.

An important read on Europe and NATO.

@marvin_tong Is the setup doable for a non technical person? ie someone that does not write code?

If you're technical, self-hosting OpenClaw on your mac is still great. If you want reliability + less ops overhead, clawdi.ai is the faster path. Btw, all memory / docs are encrypted with TEE. Happy to share my exact setup templates if useful.

Deploying OpenClaw on Mac/VPS is easy. What stops most people is config + bug fixing. That's why I moved my lobster to clawdi.ai 🦞 Here's how I run business with it now

@SplitCapital I think history has shown that most teams, whether in crypto or not, are extremely bad at understanding what is fair market value of their stock/token. The point is if you do buybacks they should be regular and consistent, not opportunistic or the market won’t value it.

Discretionary token buybacks are always going to be better because the team will always know best when and where to spend money. The idea that it's always good to spend money on token buybacks is flawed because most of these businesses still need massive R&D to keep growing.

@HHorsley Can confirm and it started few years ago and accelerated after the collapse of Credit Suisse. Switzerland made a huge mistake handling the situation and GCC families will not do business there again

Met with a multi-family office CEO today — He’s seeing families that have been in Europe for 100s of years moving to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. There’s a real exodus.

@BarackObama I shook your hand in Belgium last year. Your party’s behaviour is equally laughable, it just happens behind closed doors. I think a lot of people see through dems’ attempt to monopolise the moral high ground while inflicting just as much damage to democracy as Republicans do.

Republicans can’t win on their policies, so they are trying to dodge accountability by rewriting the rules. These lawmakers are going out of their way to silence the will of the people and deliberately undermine our democracy.
Redistricting Action@redistrictact

The White House is continuing to pressure states to gerrymander their congressional maps because they are afraid of voters holding them accountable for their unpopular policies. This is a decisive moment for our democracy. Take action to fight back against this power grab. ⬇️

@0xLouisT The point on regulatory grey zone is pretty striking when you think about it

Quick mental framework for looking at DATs You can think of them as PE-style closed-end funds with perpetual life, a broad mandate, and liquid LP shares, which just happen to denominate most (or all) of their AUM in a single asset: the underlying token. Why managers like running them: - Easy asset raising: raising massive size is unusually easy because of the current bubble. - No redemptions: no LPs knocking at the door to get their money back (the DAT can just trade at a discount). - No fixed lifecycle: unlike VC or PE funds, these vehicles can run forever. - No liquidity constraints: you can take all the liquidity risk you want, do OTC or locked deals, park funds anywhere. This is very bullish for DeFi (which happily will take all that collateral). - Regulatory grey zone: all those laws and compliance for traditional funds? Forget them. Here, you can pretty much do whatever you want. Are DATs some kind of dark magic? Absolutely not. They're just a huge bubble for capital providers and some managers are seizing the opportunity...
Ansem@blknoiz06

have been midcurving DATs extremely hard bc cant understand why ppl would buy a treasury company holding these coins when they could just buy the underlying but once the capital is in these entities its very bullish for the underlying asset depending on who's making decisions

my contrarian take is that algo and basket stables that are not US dollar based will become more and more popular when Bessent goes on TV 4 times a week talking about what a good deal it is to buy US treasuries w crypto you know 1 thing for sure it's a really fcking bad deal

all non-technical people i talk to have such a surface level understanding of prompting it is quite incredible. there is a serious need for education, it's like they are using 2% of these models capabilities i need to change this, we need everyone to level up

I don’t buy the “crypto equity story”. The purpose of decentralized bearer assets is to get your money out of the system. Equities are in the system. ETFs are system accelerants. Blackrock is the system admin We are all here because the system is broken. Not to double down

You’re an expert graphic designer with a background in minimal, modern aesthetics. You previously worked at Apple, love all things design, and have immaculate taste. Design me a perfect landing page for my humanoid robot using minimal theme colours.
loaf@lordOfAFew

See the secret is - you need to make the models believe in themselves. Give them a backstory about their history, tell them how great they are at what you are trying todo. You will be amazed what they can do, they just need encouragement.
