The 49ers and TE Jake Tonges agreed to a new deal just before the restricted free agent tender deadline. It’s a two-year contract for $8 million, including $5.5M guaranteed, per agent Steve Caric.

Honestly, Shaheed at $17 million - I initially thought that was a bit pricey, but - he's outside the top-25 highest paid receivers in the game and he's arguably the best returner in the NFL.
That's a relative bargain compared to some of the big bucks going around for receivers.

@smiggsalt @spoonlocks We have a great special teams coach Jay harbaugh who created a lot of those opportunities for shaheed to be successful. Horton also has the longest punt return in franchise history but I do agree shaheed is a big part of why we won the Super Bowl. We can still go back without him

Rashid Shaheed is said to not be close to an extension with the Seahawks and the expectation is that he now will test the free agent market Monday, per sources.

The Raiders got Andrew Janocko, who the #Seahawks picked Brian Fleury over. And Rick Dennison was expected to follow him.
Nothing I said is untrue. Raiders got a few of Kubiak's guys, but Seahawks kept Benton and likely will retain rest of the staff. Macdonald is happy.
