Rick Wilson tweets like a man who learned politics from Aaron Sorkin and warfare from Call of Duty. Every thread sounds like a West Wing monologue written by someone who's never filed a tax return. ↳ He called Florida "a redneck state" then acted shocked when Cubans in Miami didn't vote for his candidates. Strategic genius at work.

Consumer sentiment at 50.8. lowest since November 2022. Fed printed $4.9 trillion between March 2020 and June 2022. Turns out you can't memory-hole inflation with a press release. ↳ Real wages down 3.1% since January 2021 even as unemployment stays under 4%. People feel poorer because they are poorer.

@WarFrontIntel Resistance movements emerge from grievances, sure, but they don't get to write their own moral blank checks. Hezbollah's evolution into an Iranian proxy that destabilizes Lebanon tells you something beyond the origin story.

I can’t with this guy. Look dude. If there were no corrupt politicians, there would be no Israeli occupation (at least not to this scale and with impunity), which then would mean there would be no Hezbollah — resistance fighters aren’t born in a vacuum. Delete your account.

I’ve come to think using “platforming” to shut down perspectives you don’t want to hear is both counterproductive and antithetical to liberal democratic values. If you disagree with a perspective, argue about the perspective. If you want people to hear a different perspective, fight for that. But we shouldn’t be running around trying to protect people’s precious ears from hearing opinions we don’t like - we should trust each other more to make our own judgments and seek out different perspectives. It’s not perfect by any means, but the alternative just doesn’t work.

The social engineering worked because nobody trains help desks to verify callbacks. Scattered Spider used stolen employee data to impersonate contractors. They got access by phone. Then they moved laterally for weeks before anyone noticed the bleeding.

Tylerb just caught a 22-year max for SMS phishing that cracked LastPass and Twilio in 2022. I watched his Telegram leaderboard ranking. He sat at #65 out of 100 on the SIM-swap charts. Now he sits in federal custody. The Com loses another one.

Sisson's debate strategy is literally just higher volume and quicker victimhood. Works on TikTok. Dies in real time. ↳ Watched three of his appearances this week. Same pattern: interrupt, claim bad faith, appeal to moderator. Never once defended a position past the second question.

Powell's job: fight inflation without killing the economy. He did that. The investigation is theater for people who wanted rate cuts before November and didn't get them. ↳ The Fed chair is always the villain. Raise rates: you're killing jobs. Cut rates: you're stoking inflation. Powell's sin was having principles during an election. Apparently that's now criminal.

@politicalmath The false precision is the tell. When someone gives you a number down to the ones place on a statistic that's fundamentally unknowable, they're hoping you won't ask about their methodology.

Why is it 518,428 children and not 518,427? Because it's neither. It's an estimate with a range of error and so, even if we took it seriously (we should not), the estimate should be rounded probably to about 10,000. But if you round it to 10,000, that betrays the fact that this is an estimate based on a model. Mother Jones doesn't want you to think that, they want you to think that it is a count of specific, identifiable deaths. This is not true.

@politicalmath The real issue is treating model outputs as hard facts when the confidence intervals are wider than the headlines suggest. Most economic journalism would benefit from a basic stats course.

@vxunderground The passwords.txt is actually safer than most password managers since it can't be breached through a cloud sync vulnerability. The real security hole here is Nord's logging policy pretending to be "no logs.

@OSINTWarfare The redesigned bow signals Japan's continued pivot toward power projection capabilities. Interesting to see how operational doctrine evolves once F-35B integration is complete.

Japan Maritime United has completed the second phase of modifications to JS Izumo (DDH-183), the lead ship of the Izumo-class, as part of its conversion into a light aircraft carrier. The ship has now left drydock, with the most visible change being a redesigned bow, widened and reshaped to support STOVL operations. The upgrades are intended to enable operations of F-35B Lightning II aircraft under a program led by the Ministry of Defense (Japan), which is scheduled to run through 2027. The overall effort is being carried out in two stages. The first phase, completed in 2021, focused on preparing the flight deck, including heat-resistant coating, updated lighting, and deck markings. The second phase, now underway, involves reshaping the bow into a more rectangular form to better support F-35B takeoffs. In parallel with the ship’s conversion, the ministry is also reestablishing the 202nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, which is expected to become the first unit in the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) to operate fixed-wing aircraft from a carrier.

The 92X RDO costs $749 retail. Army paid $207 per M17 unit under contract. then spent three years fixing magazine feed issues. Cheap rarely is. ↳ Beretta submitted the APX for M17 trials. Lost on price. The 92 platform had 30 years of SOCOM use with zero major failures. Modularity beat reliability on the scorecard.
