For the sake of education, let me explain this, not just to you, but to anyone who will come across this. The Bible presents Jesus as fully God and fully man. The book of John makes this very clear. There are moments where He speaks like a human, like a servant or a prophet. Then there are other moments where He speaks with divine authority, far beyond that of a prophet or servant. That balance shows He is God revealed in human form. Take John 17 for example. When He was about to be arrested, His humanity was visible, but then something powerful happened. When the soldiers said they were looking for Jesus, He replied, “I AM HE.” In verse 6, they stepped back and fell to the ground. These were trained Roman soldiers, so what made them fall? Something supernatural clearly happened. The Greek phrase used there is “Ego Eimi,” which means “I AM” the same covenant name God revealed to Moses in Book of Exodus. At that moment, His divine nature flashed out, and they couldn’t stand it. It shows they didn’t overpower Him, He willingly gave Himself up. Now to your main question: it was His human nature that died on the cross. God, by nature, cannot die, He is eternal. That is exactly why He took on human form, so He could experience death on our behalf. No man can kill God, and no man can even stand before His full glory. But by becoming human, He made that sacrifice possible. God is beyond human understanding, He is not limited like us. He can operate in ways we cannot fully grasp, present everywhere while still reigning in heaven.
