The falsity of this @IrishTimes article - there was NO profit made by Ireland on those #PromNotes IBRC bonds; there was loss, and loss only. The so-called 'profit' is all borrowed by the NTMA, added to our national debt; The 'canceling'? Tens of billions destroyed, for no return.

The Irish Times today has a stab at explaining how you are paying for the €30bn collapse of Anglo bank, and how you paid off unguaranteed unsecured bondholders at Anglo after the ECB blackmailed us, "a bomb would go off in Dublin". The govt gave in to the ECB blackmail.
