🚨New Drone Laws🚨 Major regulatory changes are coming! Here is what you need to know to stay legal from Thursday. New Laws Effective January 1, 2026 100g Registration Threshold: You must obtain a Flyer ID (by passing a free online theory test) to fly any drone weighing 100g or more outdoors. Camera Registration: You must have a valid Operator ID if you are responsible for any drone weighing 100g or more that has a camera. Mandatory Night Lighting: Any drone flown at night must be fitted with a flashing green light that is switched on during the flight. UK Class Marking: All new drones placed on the UK market must carry a UK class mark (UK0 to UK6), confirming they meet specific safety and technical standards. Immediate Remote ID: Drones with the new UK1, UK2, UK3, UK5, and UK6 class marks must have Remote ID (a digital number plate broadcast) enabled and switched on during all flights. #DroneCode #UKDrones #CAA #DroneLaws #FPVUK #DroneSafety

@LSTDBristol @ASPRuralCrime Disappointingly we had to speak to two drone pilots who were breaching the regulations in relation to how they were flying. One claimed he was such a good pilot he didn't need a flyer ID or Operator ID, let alone any other flying qualifications. #DroneCode
