@Johnubacon They voted after first period and gave it to McDavid which is BS. Hellebuyck was mvp and it wasn’t even close

No doubt, Bac. This tweet is something, just perhaps, all hockey parents should remember.

Connor Hellebuyck: Never played Tier 1. Never played in The Brick. Never played Quebec PW. Never made a Development Camp. Did play HS hockey. Did play NAHL. Did play NCAA D1. Did win a Vezina. Did win Olympic gold. And yet we’ve got parents stressing over which 8U team 🤯

@Johnubacon Won the big game. He was unreal. I think he should come home and play for Detroit.
English

@Johnubacon It was no place for a nervous person.
Hellebuyck is 6'4" but played like he was 10'.
Just an outstanding performance.
And how bout them Meeeechigan boys!
English

@Johnubacon He’s right there with Jim Craig in USA Hockey history!
English

@Johnubacon The dude just stood on his head this entire game. What a legendary performance against some of the very best players Canada could throw at him!
English

@Johnubacon Yes, thought we hung him out to dry in 4 Nations. That said, the CAN firepower is insane. They literally were in our end entire game.
English

@Johnubacon How did Michigan AND Michigan State let him leave the state for college?
English

@Johnubacon The Jets owe that man a raise based purely on that game. My goodness. I don't follow hockey much, but that man's performance was awe inspiring.
English

@Johnubacon do we now have permission to run snowblowers, JUB?
asking for a friend.
English

@Johnubacon I don't think he's gonna be overly popular when he returns to Canada
English

@Johnubacon Awesome game! Frustrating! 3 on 5 and Hellebuyck and the boys shut them down! A steal stuffed in their goal! Man!
English

@Johnubacon Gave the phrase “standing on your head” a bold, new meaning!
English

@Johnubacon He’s the first star even if Canada would have won. He was incredible.
English

@Johnubacon The Canadians will be looking for the gold medals Hellebuyck stole for at least 4 years.
English

@Johnubacon I think of Ken Dryden in the 1971 Eastern quarters v a vastly superior Bruins team. He had only goaltended 6 NHL games previously. He had no business stopping them. And he did. Great observation, young man.
English

@Johnubacon Yep.
Hellebuyck saved many goal shots to secure an American win.
