Had an insane interaction with my electrician where he tried to give me his card and I read it as "we can do this under the table without the company" and then he had to correct me and said "everything still has to go through the company" and I was like "oh then I don't need your card" and handed it back to him

@karbonbased I would have literally done the same, but maybe throw his card in the trashcan as soon as he left. But like I would have understood it as "bypassing the company"

@karbonbased I mean why else would he give you his own personal card unless he really wanted to skirt the company and have it done through him?!?

@Lord_Ashdrake Mind you I've had other techs from this company out 10 times and never got a card and he handed it to me with an awkward "my card in case you need anything else done"

I think he wanted "future" stuff to be done "privately" but "this one" might have been logged into the system so it had to resolve through the system. But if he had less awkwardness he would have just said so himself rather than do the entire awkward shuffle and then hope next time u call his number rather than the company itself.
