The Walker Team recently had a great time at the 2026 Value of Biogas East Conference, building connections and gaining insights into the ever‑evolving biogas and renewable natural gas landscape in Canada. ♻️🍁 The conference included a tour of the Generate Upcycle London AD & Biogas Plant in London, Ontario, an exhibitor hall with dozens of businesses showcasing new innovations, and panel discussions which featured Walker’s Vice President, Government and Community Relations, Chris Breen, and Environmental Performance Business Partner, Crystal Vella. Walker had the pleasure of supporting and attending the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce’s annual State of the Region event in Niagara Falls. Some of the Walker’s Aggregates team attended the @_OSSGA 2026 AGM this week alongside industry partners and provincial leadership. 🪨🍁 The conference included informative presentations and panel discussions, including our very own Marketing Manager, Ela Walsh discussing the Anatomy of Social Media Messaging. Congratulations to our teams in Niagara, Essex, Simcoe and Grey-Bruce who were recognized as leaders in #community relations, taking home awards for seven of our sites, highlighting our commitment to the communities we work in and call home. Walker’s McGregor Quarry in Essex, ON, also received the Net-Zero Award for its efforts to replace diesel generators with clean grid power, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions. ♻️
