More thoughts on Singapore: - I'm a massive foodie, and tbh, the food so far has blown me away. Even the hotel room service last night was amazing - Everyone here has been so kind and welcoming. Was speaking to a taxi driver earlier and he offered to take me for food on the weekend. Unfortunately I'll be gone by then, but such a lovely gesture - Truly shocked at how clean everywhere is. No trash on the side of the roads. No litter. Very refreshing to see people take care of where they live

Im really not trying to be mean or rude here, but how did we get here Canada? MMIW2SLGBTQQIA+ Are you really not aware of how silly this sounds? It makes for a strong password, but 15 characters is no longer an acronym. What you have done is ultimately damage the gay community and diminish the strides made for gay rights. Let’s break it down: LGB- this is simply an acronym about sexual orientation. In this group: Lesbian- women who like women Gay- men who like men Bisexual- men or women who like both Simple, easy, and clear. Then we added the T. The T is not a sexual orientation. It has nothing to do with sexual attraction, it is a group of people who believe their minds do not match their body parts. QQ- Anyone really know what this is? Queer, and Questioning. Ok cool. I? A? +? Anyone? Most have no idea who these letters represent. 2S- Ok, so 2 spirit Now you add: MMIW None of you know what that is, neither did I so I looked it up: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. Missing or murdered women is sad, but how in the world does this make any sense to add to an acronym that was supposed to be about sexual orientation? If the ultimate goal it to add every group you deem to be marginalized, it would probably be easier to go with “Non SWM” SWM- Straight, White, Male I truly believe the gay community has suffered most by their movement being totally hijacked and distorted into pure chaos.

NDP MP Leah Gazan condemns Budget 2026 for cutting $7B from Indigenous Services Canada and Crown Indigenous relations. "They provided $0 to deal with the ongoing genocide of MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+," she said. "Rates of violence are increasing, and the PM is turning a blind eye."

For those who don't speak Woke Retard, I looked it up and apparently MMIWG2SLGBTQQIA+ means "Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Questioning, Intersex, and Asexual." So apparently they'd added murdered people into the LGBT community. Murdered is now a queer identity. This is the kind of innovation we get from Canada.

Builders in crypto space are focused on building solutions first then finding problems to fix. This leads to weak value propositions in their products. “Permissionless”. “Composability”. 99% of users are not even concerned about these things. Start by fixing real problems.

@llamaonthebrink Being permissionless is not even on most users’ minds when choosing where to earn yield 🙄 Do you think majority will abandon govt-backed / licensed tradfi yields on FDIC-insured platforms simply because is “DeFi is permissionless”? Weak argument.

3 reasons why DeFi’s yield is superior: 1) DeFi yield is composable. You can stack and layer it. Build on top of it. Tap into it permissionlessly. This enables things like Trueo’s yield bearing prediction markets. Seamlessly tapping into DeFi to make our long dated markets more capital efficient. We can do that without asking anyone’s permission, and it falls outside of regulatory scope. 2) you can only access the “overnight/risk free rate” though a custodian that can play silly games with you. In DeFi, you answer to no one. Especially if the instrument has no blacklist capabilities like sDAI, yearn vault tokens, or Aave aTokens. 3) the “overnight rate” isn’t really overnight, redemptions take 30days. Secondary markets are liquid, but they too rely on custodians. In DeFi, you can withdraw at any given moment without permission. Put your money in, take your money out, and shake it all about. This may not matter to most of us 1st worlders, but it sure matters to the remainder of the planet.

rates in DeFi are too low for the level of risk $11.7B sitting in Morpho vaults today at 2-4% APY. retail is funding these markets via exchanges thinking it's a savings account. it's not. they're taking real credit risk on crypto-collateralized lending no institution accepts near risk-free rates to come on-chain not all vaults are created equal. same 2-4% yield but completely different risk profile (different curators, collateral, LLTVs). retail picks the highest number. farmers will farm back in the day >100% APYs in DeFi made sense. you were compensated for the risk you were taking. DeFi is a different animal today but vol, historical dislocations, and looping strategies on crypto collateral still demand at least 300-400 bps above risk-free. we're nowhere near that. @LucaProsperi ran the math (see below). tldr - fair value spread on ETH/BTC-collateralized lending is 250-400 bps above risk-free. observed rates are a fraction of that last cycle we saw a lot of retail pour savings into algo stablecoins promising "risk free" yield. this cycle vaults have a lot of demand but they are mispriced for the level of risk. you're trusting someone to LP into vaults and trust the manager will manage position at least private credit earned you 12-16% go read this: open.substack.com/pub/dirtroads/…

Why the fuck does Jeff Bezos have to give you 7 billion dollars? The American people give the government around 7 TRILLION dollars every year and you fuckin retards haven’t fixed shit with it. You think if the creepy bald Amazon dude adds another 0.1% to that figure you’re finally gonna figure out how to stop blowing our fuckin money? Better idea, how about you give the other 99.9% to the private sector and see if they can figure out how to cure diabetes or make a sandwich for 4th graders. I bet they’ll have change left over.
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.

@jbahrdestefano @RobinhoodApp Mate let’s be honest, that huge $1B net deposit spike shortly after RH Banking app launched was not “new” deposits. Likely a “reshuffling” of existing funds from RH main app to the new app. Moving money from left pocket to right pocket basically.

Major cheat code for life: Increase your recovery speed. You will get rejected. You will lose money. You will embarrass yourself. The goal isn't to avoid the fall. It's to shorten the time between the fall and the reset. The ultimate life hack is the ability to quickly reset and recover. From a poor decision. From a bad interaction. From a missed workout. From a bad day. You can start over whenever you want. You can't always control what happened, but you can control how long you carry it. Fast recovery compounds.

The older I get, the more I realize intelligence is overrated. Intelligent people are more likely to overthink, overplan, and overanalyze. They hide behind motion that doesn't create progress. They fear the judgment of others if they're proven wrong. The truth is that intelligence is abundant. Courage is not. The people you admire are the ones who had the courage to act. They aren’t more talented than you. They aren’t smarter than you. They just took action when you didn’t. I often wonder how many extraordinary people wasted their entire lives waiting for permission that never came. Permission isn't granted. It's taken. You get to tap yourself in whenever you want. You can just do things. Courage beats intelligence.

"Companies that move slowly will be left behind" These are quite strong words from someone who: - Spent $70m on a domain + $15m on the ad and still hasn't delivered anything from it. - Was one of the biggest donors to Trump, yet one of the smallest beneficiaries. - Runs an app miles behind industry leaders in user experience: slow, glitchy, and expensive AF. - Created an entity (Particle B – Cronos Labs) that chased Web3 trends for 5 years and never innovated anything, only stealing momentum and copy-pasting ideas. - Has an NFT site that hasn't received a single update in 5 years, is among the worst of its kind, and cripples NFT projects launching on it with 30–40% fees. - Is a year late on his Manecity project with NFT integrations they already collected money for. - Deletes tweets to avoid accountability and lacks the guts to talk to us directly. The only person you talk to is your CMO with carefully scripted "questions". You spend money like there's no tomorrow on everything while showing the least respect and appreciation toward your community, investors, and employees. 1. $CRO is still 95% down 2. Cronos has never been more abandoned, and now you're planning to leave us behind with all the failed projects you were running 3. Not a single penny has been offered to anyone who spent hundreds of thousands to keep your chain alive. You just keep taking and taking and taking. It never occurs to you that sometimes there should be something to give back - and no, two LA Lakers tickets to a random basketball match do not count. Give us: 1. Hope that one day you actually deliver success WITH US 2. Trust that you want to work WITH US 3. Opportunity to rise above the market WITH US 4. Assurance that you know where you're going and are leading US 5. Decency to keep us informed and communicate with honesty This is not FUD, just six years of disappointment. We can start with giving back some HOPE.

We are joining the list of companies integrating enterprise-wide AI. Companies that do not make this pivot immediately will fail. Companies that move slowly will be left behind. Companies that move immediately and pair the best AI tools with top-performers will achieve a level of scale and precision that was previously impossible. This is where we must go. As part of this step, we have also made a targeted ~12% workforce reduction of roles that do not adapt in our new world. All impacted team members have been notified and are receiving resources to support their transition. We are deeply grateful for the contributions our departing colleagues have made. This new foundation sets us up for continued success.

A few key insights I found interesting from our new Stablecoin dataset: - Stablecoin supply is growing 50% Y/Y but Circle and Tether market share is staying about the same at ~90% - $80B out of $300B sits on centralized exchanges - trading use cases still dominate - However, stablecoins in yield generating protocols doubled to $10B - Total transfers jumped to $10T in January. USDC was 8T of that, despite being almost 3x smaller in supply vs. USDT. $6T of that volume was to/from DEX liquidity. A bunch of more interesting insights below 👇
