Now that promotion weekend is coming to a close, and what a weekend it’s been, let me quickly and for the last time address some things because some of the vile racist messages I’m receiving are just getting silly now, a small minority instead of being happy we have been promoted have decided to just send a bunch of hate my way all weekend because there’s a few pictures existing of me in a Man United top, I have never once denied supporting two teams growing up my dad was and still is a Man United fan but around 14 years old I decided I wanted to just support one team and chose Cov, I’ve lived in Cov my whole life grew up in Wyken moved to Canley and never lived anywhere else, obviously having a small affinity towards United I do own some of their tops from when I was growing up and have made some videos talking about them in the past, it’s not a big deal or a ‘gotcha’ moment when someone sends it, I’ve never denied it what’s the point when it’s not that deep, But the thing that’s bothered me most is the lies I’ve read about me this weekend, I’m out celebrating and I read that I didn’t grow up in Cov or that when Cov played United I was in the United end begging to get in the Cov end or I only posted/cared about Cov when we got good or people who have never met me just calling me a cunt, I have lived here my whole life, when Cov played United I was in the Cov end in my Cov top, I went too plenty of games home and away growing up (yes including at Sixfields) my first ever TikTok video was a Cov matchday vlog, and how you can call me a cunt when you’ve never met me, tbh I’m not sure how on what has been one of the best weekends in a our clubs history you could even find time to be angry let alone the amount of time some people have spent on it this weekend, when something good happens to our club there’s no rule book on who can and can’t celebrate just enjoy your life, that being said in person all weekend I must have had over 500 interactions and every single one has been golden because they have been with the fans who have been out celebrating and the amount of people yesterday who came up to me saying ignore all the online hate (which I can’t stress enough is still the minority) and keep doing what I’m doing for the club to and city don’t worry I plan too 🩵, UP THE FUCKING SKY BLUE WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE, enjoy the rest of the celebrations and long may it continue 🩵🩵
