We sent your organization two emails and were ignored. AFLF helped keep Karmelo’s GiveSendGo fundraiser open when people were trying to mass-report it. We also advocated for him to graduate. The problem is that Karmelo needed a coordinated strategy around legal support, school accountability strategy to show the districts failure, fundraising transparency, appeal preservation, and post-sentencing protection. Ignoring independent Freedmen-led advocacy was a mistake.
